How do i get saves out of my ps3?

Ok, my ps3 broke and i cant turn it on because it has the YLOD. So i got a deal from sony where if i send my broken ps3 to them, they will send me a new 120gb slim for only 120$. I was about to send it when i realized...i wont have any of my saves. Is there anyway to have my saves from the old ps3 (which wont turn on) so i can still have them on the new one?

Pop out the hard drive pickup an enclosure 5-10 bucks and hope windows can read those files to copy.ericpol

Apparently you can't and once you pop it into another PS3, it'll format itself. They're gone.
