My wife got me a PS3 with this Move stuff, I am typically a PC gamer so this is foreign territory for me. She got some bundle with the sports game in it but it can only go so far. Any other games compatible with this you would recommend? I know I don't have to stick to games just for the move, but I dont need any help with others.

Reports are that it works well with "Killzone 3" (you will need a nav add-on, and perhaps a gun attachment to make it work as designed, though) ... Beyond that, I don't know. The Motion Gaming Craze missed me by a country mile. Seems to have skipped a lot of devs, too, as there really hasn't been too much made for the system that goes beyond party games and light stuff - Yet. That may change (I hope it does), but as of this writing, the Move is a waste of time and money in my opinion. My folks bought it for their grandchildren (by my sister, not me), and I think theirs is already collecting dust two short months after Xmas.

Probably by selling it lol, only games that comes to mind are Heavy Rain (be sure it's the move edition) and Resistance 3 though idk how move works on them. Hope that helps a little.

Yea I am not surprised, I am pretty good about researching this stuff for myself and could find little on it. It isn't something I would have purchased lol. I am a pc gamer and haven't really ever gotten into the console thing so while I was open to the PS3 it is not something I would have bought on my own, much less the MOVE deal. I want to at least give it a chance though. The gun thing certainly appeals to me.

I don't know if you are the sort to do this, but it's really the most fun with a bunch of people in your living room, playing the sports games or other mini-game collections like "Carnival Island" - Might have the name wrong (lots of rig-toss, shooting gallery, skee-ball, etc). It's about having a riot instead of gaming as you or I tend to think about the hobby. Try the shooter stuff out though. "Killzone 3" gets the most critical praise, "Resistance 3", not so much.

Good hunting!

(Speaking of which, I think the Cabella hunting games work with it, as well as the newer "Time Crisis" and "House of the Dead" arcade lightgun genre. But read reviews, I haven't played any of those so I don't want to steer you wrong).

get Child of Eden and House of the Dead Overkill extended cut. Those are some stellar games that use the move and they're very arcadey/score based so they have a lot of replay value if you're into that sort of thing.

for shooters:
killzone 3
resistance 3
socom 4
goldeneye
MAG

btw...set the horizontal deadzone to 0 and the vertical one just slightly higer....its hard to set up the thing for shooters..i recommend KZ3 first..

singleplayer:
heavy rain
resident evil 5 Gold
little big planet (not sure)
No more heroes

ON rail gun game shooters (like in the arcade) light gun games:
resident evil chronicles HD (has 2 games..hasnt been released yet)
house of the dead overkill
dead space extraction

There's a few games that are worth trying - not many though.

The Fight Lights Out is pretty damn fun fighting game but you'll need two move controllers.

House of the Head Overkill is a great point and aim shooter. It's short though but its got a funny storyline.

Tumble is a pretty fun/cheap PSN puzzle type game.

Racquet Sports, while it got bad reviews, I had fun with it and you can probably find it dirt cheap now.

While I've only tried the demo, Carnival Games is fun - probably not worth $40.00 right now.

Honestly, you don't. The hardware is good, but software support has been pretty mediocre.

I've had lots of fun with Planet minigolf and High velocity bowling, and quite some with Carnival island, but some games seem really random and some very precise

I hope not... i'd have to buy it if that happens and the Wii didn't appealed me much...

I haven't gleaned much fun out of mine other than the gladiator game in the wii sports clone that comes with it and heavy rain was pretty awesome with it. Socom is a pain and I wouldn't recommend "The fight" to anyone that isn't interested in a mindless no story boxing game. It's a good workout and boxing simulator but is pretty crappy for a video game.

i have a wii, and honestly it isnt that bad. i love playing zelda on it. only reason i have wii is for zelda games. since i grew up with playing it. and dont worry the MOVE games that they releasing arent like god of war or uncharted games or anything to that lvl. its small games that are fun and enjoyable with friends and what not. ill find a link for u if im lazy lol that shows what games are MOVE compatible and what games can only be used with MOVE controller. but im not into the whole motion gaming, at least not yet but i like using it with resistance, killzone 3 and few other titles

Just remembered - It also works with "RUSE", an RTS that's outstanding in my opinion... But the Move support isn't as accurate or as fun as just using a controller. "RUSE" was one of my favorite purchases last year. Very under-rated title.

I played through KZ3 once with the Sharpshooter peripheral (save your money) and there are two PSN games I enjoy: 4 Elements HD and Tumble. That's it. The lesson here is this: Don't go to Fred Meyers when you are drunk, you just might buy a Move.getyeryayasout

Oooooh ****! That just got a spit-take out of me... Ginger Ale EVERYWHERE...

Agreed with most of the above suggestions. I own a Move and Nav and the Sharpshooter. The Move works great and I welcome the opportunity to use it, but I've been moving stuff around lately and have been too lazy to set it back up and recalibrate it. The Sharpshooter...probably would've been better off left alone. Don't get me wrong, it's a quality peripheral. Still, for anything other than a rail shooter it's cumbersome to use compared to the comfortable detached feeling of the Move and Nav. Here are some games that I've personally tried where the Move works well:

  • Time Crisis: Razing Storm
  • Dead Space: Extraction
  • Tumble
  • Killzone 3 - My KDR ends up the same with either the Dualshock or the Move, sometimes a little better with Move.
  • MAG - Great implementation.
  • SOCOM 4 - The same great setup from MAG due to it being developed by Zipper. I actually enjoy the game more and play better with the Move.
  • Heavy Rain - Better and more immersive with the Move.
  • Modern Combat: Domination - Turning and options available were worse than the Dualshock until it got patched. MUCH better now. If you want to try a game like Call Of Duty / Counter-Strike with motion controls, this would be the game.

Like everyone else here, I hope to see more of a reason to go back and play with the Move. I'm interested to see how it's used in BioShock Infinite since it's not often that third-party devs mess around with peripherals.

Sadly the game is dead. Every match has like 2-3 people and rest are bots.

Sorry to bring back this thread, but how is it with Resistance 3? I thought I heard a patch came out for it to make the move work better with it. Best Buy has a bundle with the Move, the Move gun thing, and Resistance 3 for $80 and was wondering if it was worth it.

80 bucks i s a good deal.. if you dont like R3 you can sell it for 20 on ebay or you can sell the sharpshooter if you dont like it either for 20 on ebay... that means you spend 40 bucks for the camera move and nav controllers... good deal if you ask me :)

about resistance 3..i only played multiplayer...umm..once you set the deadzones to zero and adjust the cursor sensitivity to where you like it ... the single player is perfectly playable..actually felt moving around was better than killzone 3.

but the multiplayer for me was too hard... i mean... i have to shoot someone 100 times even with headshots to kill them.... sometimes people would run right by me and i couldnt take them down because hip firiing yopu have to be so damn percise...
yet these guys could kill me in like 1 second with their dualshock 3....i gave up...feels like R3 was made with DS3 in mind. killzone is made with move in mind much better.

Gamefly all of the PSmove retail titles. That way if you end not liking the PSmove you not out a lot of money. I have a Wii but really haven't used it awhole lot. So I didn't bother buying move. Which is more or less the same but with nicer graphics, The motion controller thing is not for me. So I would justrent PSmove games to decide if you like motion controls.

Infamous 2 now supports Move controls. I used them for the Festival of Blood DLC and they were really good.

An on-rails shooter that is pretty good at the price you can find it at now is The Shoot as well. Not quite as much fun as Time Crisis, but if you like the on-rails setup, it's a good time.

Because Time Crisis was already mentioned in the thread.
