How do I play FPS on my PS3 ?

Hey guys

Sorry for a newbie question but I need some help. Ive been playing loads of FPS games on my PC and i consider me be pretty good at it. Last week I bought PS3 making it my first console ever. I have downloaded some demos and it works great except for the FPS games.

I cant aim at all. Well I can but using the sixaxis it takes me about 10 seconds before I can aim something and shoot it. That is standing still. Running and aiming is out of the question. Is there any hidden secret here ? some way of holding the controller ? Or do I just have to buy a mouse or get used to the sixaxis aim ?

One post and he is a PC guy? Something is fishy. Smells like troll to me im not buying your story. I played tons of FPS on PC and it was easy to get on Resistance and own people online. You are just boredPablo620

hmm well would resistance still be easy to get into if it was the first FPS game youve ever played on a console ever? I know it wasnt for me... 

Socom. Socom is one of the greatest games to get your aim good with a controller.

Socom 1---> Socom 2---> Socom 3 ---> Socom: Combined Assault 

In that order they came out. So you can get the latest one if you want.

It just takes practice. If this is your first console, then you must be pretty fresh. All it takes is some practice. Not that hard to get atleast somewhat adjusted to

I found another artical that goes a little more into detail about the Splitfish functions.

why is everybody that askes a question on their first post a troll?? how is he even trolling by saying he lacks the skill to play the games right?? unless he is trolling himself.. I think you are just bored calling everybody out for a troll :P

Oh and to the thread starter you just need to get used to it.. i remember playing red faction for the first time and i learned pretty quickly... or you could always just plug in a usb keyboard and mouse :P

Looks like a mouse and a keyboard ^^. Guess I will have to get used to the sixaxis after all.
