How Do I set my ps3 online???

im new to ps3 so how do i hook it up online

Plug in your ethernet cable, follow the onscreen directions to set up your PSN account. Its that simple.

wired or wireless?

wired you just connect the ethernet cable to either your modem or router

wireless requires a router and for this you just go to, on the XMB, Network Settings>Internet Connection>YES> Automatic or Scan (depending on your router, SCAN is usually first)> WEP (easiest security to set up)> Enter WEP KEY (found on side or bottom of router, if not you need to access your router settings on your PC [check your manual that came with router for info on how to do this])>Automatic for everything else> X to save settings

it will then test the connection, when done press O

and your done
