How do I turn the volume up?

Hehe, may sound like a "noob" question, but I got my PSP used w/o any instruction manual. On my home screen, it displays the volume when you turn it up or down, and for some reason, it will only let me turn it about two-thirds of the way up. (the little bars at the bottom of the screen). Can anybody help?

edit: dote! disregard, I went to Sound Settings and found I has some type of AVLS thing on, and when I turned it off, I was able to up the volume again. :-D

But is it loud enough. Cause the PSP has a wire that dumbs down the volume a little. 

Go into the Settings menu.
In Audio settings you should turn off AVLS.
Theres also some normalizer thing that I've also turned off....not sure about that though.

Btw...you can download a pdf of the manual from Sony's web site.  Just Google for "PSP manual pdf"
