How do u get Themes for ps3???Plzz Help!!

Ok there are alot of themes i want for my ps3 that i found at ps3-themes.com and ps3-themes.org. And i also no that there are some themes in the PSN but the ones on the site i mentioned are better. I tired downloading a theme but it told me to open it with a program and i accidently clicked Microsoft Word. Now they all open with microsoft word and it gives me some error msg. What i want to know is how to fix that and when that is fixed, how do i transfer all that to my ps3?? Or can i download it directly from my ps3??? Plzzz Help!

I download them on my PC to a USB drive, and then put that in my PS3 and the system recognizes and installs the files.

but i cant seem to download it properly. Like what file should i download it as and where should i put it. Also, when i put a USB in my ps3, where do i go to look at it? Thanks

Why don't you use the PS3 web browser and download it straight to your PS3?

That IS technically possible, but make sure it has the proper extension and it's from a trustable site...

Tru^ but also, what is a gtp file?? do i need photoshop to view these themes?

Well when you click on the file to download it from the website, click "save" and save it to your USB drive.

Then put it in the PS3, and go to Theme Settings. Then click on "Theme" and then click "Install" and it should find the files in the USB drive automatically.

A gtp file is the actual theme file I think. That's what you save to the USB drive and then follow my instructions ^

but when i download the themes, it somes up as Microsoft Word like when i click one it. Why??

You can't open themes in Windows unless you have the proper editing tools, which I don't know what they are. Someone else could answer that.

i just put it in the ps3 and it said there were no themes available. but when i put the usb in the computer, it shows it but its microsoft word. I want to change it to a program but none of the ones i clicked seem to work. Anyone has any advice?

I find it way easier to download it directly from the PS3 browser. I'd suggest going to psu.com/themes.php on your ps3 browser, they have tons of themes. Might I suggest starting off with my KillZone 2 theme with sounds!

^I cant do that because all my files i download turns into microsoft word files and it never opens, and i cant open it with a new program. I think i screwed everything up when i originally clicked word at the begining. So im going to try what RED_Nave said. Thanks guys.

Right click and choose to open it with something else.

^ Iv done that but im not sure what i can open it with and i tried something called XML Eiditor because it sounded fancy:P but it just ended up going back to word.

If I remember, you had to make a folder called PS3 on your flash drive and then make another folder in the PS3 folder called THEMES to have the PS3 recognize the files.

^ but the problem is when i actually download the theme it opens with Microsoft word and it wont work. Like i can make all these folders but on my comp it opens with word. Its really G^Y lol
