Use Videora PS3 Video 9 to convert files to MPEG4 (which can be read by ps3)
Then transfer it though a USB or memory sticks. Then on the XMB menu, view the device, press triangle, View all, and copy.

Same for MP3, just view all and copy to the HD.

Here's what I do:
Go to this site:
http://www.redkawa.com/ and download the red kawa file server and the PS3 video converter. Then, convert the videos you want to transfer into a PS3-compatible format (I've had best results with 720pAVC). Then, start up the red kawa file server, enable access to all files and folders (under 'settings') and type the IP address you see in the window into your PS3 browser and download everything. Remember that the video filenames cannot contain spaces ;)

You could also just as easily burn them onto a CD/DVD off of your PC, and copy them from the disk to the PS3. Since I've got my PC connected to the PS3 througha network, I just boot up the 'ol PC and watch my music videos from there if I want to show them on the TV screen.

I'm trying to conserve my HD space on the PS3 for demos and stuff like that.

Hope this helps you out.
