how do you charge controller?

i have tried charging the sixaxis using the usb cable through an ipod usb charger but i cant get it to charge,what am i doing wrong?

The standard way to charge teh controller is to plug the USB cable into the PS3 and leave the PS3 on. You can continue to play or just watch TV or do something else while it charges (you'll see the light on the controller blink).

Others have said they charge by plugging into a USB port on their computer, and some people buy third-party charging accessories. The one constant regarding USB is that the system must be on, PS3 or computer, only the third party accessories support using a standard outlet for charging.

i have the sixaxis in the ipod charger with it plugged in,will have to try another way. will the ps3 charge the sixaxis when on standby?

No, as I said the charging device has to be powered on. So for the PS3 itselt you have to stay at the XMB, in-game or just keep playing while it charges.

dude! charge it on the ps3 with the USB cable that comes with it or on the pc 

So charging the sixaxis on my pc will work fine, it won't damage the controller or anything?dahaka_1

nope its not gonna damage it just when its fully charged take it off
