I feel the same way. Another port of an old game I already have and I'm actually excited for it. That's not really a good thing for the Vita. I'm interested to see how well it works though, and if the frame rate will be playable.
I have played Borderlands 2 for about 130 hours, and I will be there on day one of its Vita release to start all over again. Â It's just that fun to me, and totally perfect for the Vita.
For me, it'll depend on what we're getting for the price. Assuming it's $40, if we get all of the DLC, I think it'll be a great buy (considering I don't own it elsewhere). But if it's $40 for the base game and DLCs are sold separately, then I'd consider that unacceptable.
Very slightly interested since I haven't played it but if I really wanted to play it, I could just get it on PC. Don't really know if it's a game I'd want on the go or on a nice screen.
this looks just like how 3rd parties threat the wiiu. it comes a year late, there is probably going to be some nasty catch (all DLC included? does it have online play? local MP?). it wont sell then 3rd parties will just point and go "but games dont sell on vita....no more vita games". had this been released day and date with the other versions....very tempting. borderlands gameplay would be great for handheld gaming. great in short bursts while still being playable and enjoyable over longer sessions also. but its not, its late and itll sell nada more than likely. i know i wont be getting it as i already have it and the DLC. for anyone who hasnt played it, assuming the vita version has online MP and there is no nasty catch, i would certainly recommend the game. it may play better on other platforms in terms of controls but the design is ideal for portable play. i do strongly recommend playing it with someone though...its one of those games that really shines in MP. but worth it if you already have it? imho no. a bit frustrating that. if it was a new borderlands that would have been really kewl. on a side note: i wonder if its possible to create a system whereby the game can send information to the games dash (the tearaway paper screen for a game) so that people could see what guns n stuff are available even when the game is not running. if people could quickly see if they want to buy something without loading the game then buy it and have it the next time they do load it up that could be cool.
I don't like the idea actually, I already have this game for PC and  bored of playing it. Don't see why i want to play it again even if its portable. I would of prefered a different borderlands game. IOS got borderlands legends so why does the vita get  another port? :(  but should be interesting to see how it turns out, who knows what that could mean for  future FPS titles on the vita (bioshock anyone?).
It frustrates me that this shows the vita could have a pretty big open world game on it with no real issue, but it's getting a port I've already played to death instead. If this had come out around the same time as the console version? I'd have bought it and the console version, would've been nice, not great. As it stands, 0 interest.
I've easily wasted over a 100 hours into the game and am deathly bored with it, yet strangely enough I'm still excited for this and may just get it day one, maybe its just the whole concept of playing such a huge FPS on a such a small device that's gotten to me.
