How do you feel about Sunset Overdrive?

For those of you Playstation owners who are aware of Insomniac Games history with Sony, how do you feel about Sunset Overdrive being an Xbox One exclusive and why do you think Insomniac decided to make an xbox exclusive title instead of a multi-platform title.

most probably ms paid better than sony, the game looks very promising...

Sony wanted to own it and control the studio as well as the direction of the franchise

Microsoft allowed them to stay independent

I don't even like the look of it to be quite honest, not something i'm that interested in, I mean them monsters they go after are so bland and uninteresting, not sure i'll bother

It looks pretty fun to be honest. I think I might be missing out on a great game. I don't feel too bad about missing out on most other exclusives the Xbox One has to offer at the moment, but this could be an exception. It's kind of sad to see Insomniac go completely to the other side instead of just going multi-platform, but I guess that's what happens when you try to take complete control of a game developer.

Being an Insomniac fan, I was annoyed that I wouldn't be able to play since I only had a PS4. But I recently bought an Xbone so...

Game looks awesome and a ton of fun. Glad I have both the ps4 and xbone so I don't miss any games.

Multiplayer is one of the main things about the game, I'm confused how you would think otherwise unless you knew nothing about the game

I just wish they made this game a multi-platform title at least because now I mite have to get an Xbox One.

The reason that Sunset Overdrive is on X1 is because Insomniac were able to keep the ip and didn't have to share it with a first party

Looks fun for the most part. I just hate how it's on Xbox One only.

Sunset looks like a Ratchet and Clank game gameplay wise. It's set in a Dead Rising type sandbox.

As far as why, that's already old news, insomniac wants to own their own IPs. Sony wouldn't finance such a deal and M$ would. Insomnniac is free to take and do whatever they want with the Sunset franchise. This isn't Insomniac's first move away from Sony, they gave the world the poorly made 62/100 FUSE (first game for Xbox 360, but also on PS3) only last year in 2013. M$ saw there was a free agent out there and worked up a deal with Insomniac. With Sony as a publisher, Insomniac and Sony's games fared well with the main Ratchet titles. There was a higher standard than Insomniac's most recent work with EA. So far, Insomniac's only published work outside of Sony wasn't very good. Let's hope Sunset is of higher quality we are used to from Insomniac.

I remain hopeful considering the gameplay of Sunset is very, very familiar Ratchet & Clank gameplay territory.

I got a xbox as well, so I'm neutral on this =) I can't wait for the game though.

Game looks really fun. One of the few reasons I've been considering getting an Xbone. Wish I could play it on my PS4, but I'm sure at some point I will own all 3 current gen consoles so no biggie.

I don't like the artistic design of the game so I don't think I will bother getting this game.

I wasn't interested until I saw the gameplay during E3. It looks like a super fun game, but it would take more than one game to make me even consider getting a second next gen system. I'm happy for Insomniac that they get to keep this IP and do whatever they want with it though. Maybe the likely sequel will go multiplatform.
