When i get a trophy and hearing that *bling* sound and on the top left corner

your PS3 announces you that you achieved a trophy for doiing: what you do.....lol

how do you feel ? Do you enjoy it ?

or you don't care....? lol

and what is a trophy to you when u get it ? Especially that sexy platnium that actually stays on the top

left corner for a couple seconds more than a regular trophy does.....do you enjoy collecting so when people

look at your PSN on here or on PS Home they look at your profile then go DAMN! or WOW a platnium...

or you just dont care ? lol

Yeeessssssssssss.

I always say that, accompanied by a slow and satisfying fist pump.

...except for Zone Zeus on WipEout... I was yelling obscenities in great excitmenet and joy. After having gotten so far, I can start to see why trophy hunters do what they do, but that's not to say that I'll be joining them, I just want to master WipEout HD.

I like collecting the trophies, but I won't be like some people and collect EVERY game to be the HIGHEST level. I try to get 100% in the games I love, the rest depends on how good or bad the game is.

I feel good about it I think it might be the noise it makes but it just is fun to do.

I can't wait to start getting plats I haven't taken the time with one game yet to try and get one.

Ditto. For a perfectionist like me, a platinum really means that I'm done with the game.

So in other words, you play games solely for the trophies.

No, he plays video games for fun. Getting the trophies could also fall under that category.

Not at all. In fact, I only have 1 platinum, and just barely over 100 trophies. I play games for fun at first. After I'm thoroughly finished with a game's campaign, I decide if I wanna go back and attempt a platinum. If I really like the game, I go for it. If I feel I've had enough of the game, I don't. I don't even have a platinum for Uncharted yet, which is one of my favorite PS3 games, and an easy platinum to boot. I got my fill of Uncharted before the trophy patch came out, so it's taking me a while to beat Crushing mode once again. The one platinum I do have is inFamous, which was so worth it. However, I would never bend over backwards for a trophy. If I stop having fun in my attempt to achieve it, I stop.

Playing a game for fun, and playing only to earn trophies is different. His original statement made it sound as though he plays games mainly to earn trophies.

They're different for you, but for someone else, they can be the same thing.

Just like how "good" a game is, whether or not getting trophies is "fun" is subjective and differs from person to person.

I guess I could've worded it better. A platinum means that there is nothing more of value that I can achieve from the game. It means I loved the game enough to enjoy completing every task the developers deemed worthy of a trophy. Does it mean that I will never play inFamous again. Certainly not. But it does mean I won't be playing it again for a really long time. I'll probably play it again in anticipation of the sequel, as I often do with games I like that much.

I like getting trophies and go after them and it feels just great when a trophy pops up there unless it's like bronze and i know it's coming because i completed a level or something. But i'll at least nod my head. When a platinum pops up there I will stare like O.O for a good 10 seconds lol.

Lets See????

I played Japanese ZOmbies to death in Shi Nu Numa

When that got old, those trophys were very fun to get, I enjoyed the challenge, and it added about another month of playing the game.

Now Im back On Nazi Zombies in Der Reis or whatever, having so much fun with that map that I havent even looked at the trophys yet. But when I start getting aliitle bored with that map, I definiitely will have fun getting those trophys.

Especially the zombie trophys, there very fun!!!!!

Hopefully soon, Sony would be smart and incorporate trophys with the ps store,,,,,meaning if you achieve a certaion trophy, only those people can download something special from the store, ie..new guns, skins, ect
