Personaly I don't even check the list untill after i`ve played the game thru at least once (on hard difficulty- if i can (never elite if there is 4 options ^^ )) I want to see what i can get without looking before i try for certain ones after complete! lol tho' i'm getting crapper at getting the tuffer ones in my old age!
Yeah i don't even look at the list either. Personally I don't really go out of my way to get trophys. If i get them while playing through the game then pretty much thats all the trophys i'll get. I've never replayed a game to try and get trophys. I like getting them while playing through the game, just won't put the game on specifically to collect trophys.

i go around the world looking for people with consoles who haven't registered for a psn id, then i log ont their ps3 using my account and get all their trophies, and anytime they ever get a trophy after that i get it aswell...
i just look them over most of my games require you to play online i really only play KZ2 online so i skip those and it depends on the game, i was going for the uncharted trophies one by one but meh i got gaames i still havent beat so i just try to get ones that arent to difficult but i try to get the harder ones when i can
I look at the list, and then try and achieve on my first playthrough without putting much effort in. I put more effort in to get trophies in my second playthrough.

lol dont get cocky my friend is only a level out of me and just got his PS3 in march and ive had mine sincedecember 07...its mainly because now all games support trophies and back then only a few if any did
on topic though....i look at them...than play through the game once as its supposed to be but maybe might try and get a couple if i can and than ill play the game again if i like it and to get trophies for it...

theres games that require you to do simply things, then theres games that require you to do difficult things then therees games that require you to buy a whole bunch of Add-ons (Pain) for me I assume im a trophy whore.. i have 4 Platinum and 456 trophies total... with only 12 games with trophy function

I only tried to get a platinum trophy once and I hated it. It turned a game I enjoyed into a game I could no longer stand. What's more is I didn't even get the platinum trophy. :lol:

I mainly get them for more challenge. Sure I'm not rewarded with something other than a virtual medal. But I like to go for trophies for the sake of challenge or a reason for collecting in-game things (back when getting all the collectibles in a game gave you something like a new car. It's essentially the same thing, just one you can show off AND drive, the other you can just show off.)

Not even realizing how much of a sad image they paint themselves with. What really makes me laugh my nads off is when they actually try to use something so insignificant as an insult towards you. "At least I have more trophies than you do!" or "I have a better K/D ratio than you do!"

I think they're for the mainstream and it's recent plague of short attention spans, trotting along with just about everything else that goes on these days. Especially with media.

Yep....Till then all we can do is hope. I mean I can understand the concept of wanting to be rewarded, but I though the game would have been enough of a reward it's self.....Unless your playing a really crappy one just for the easy trophies.

thanks for all yur replies, i was genuinly curious as to how ppl percieve trophies on the ps3. seems mainly you either love em or hate em. for me its a love/hate thing. esp as half of my games are old an'd don't have trophies, thus psycologicaly in MY mind come further down my playlist. its a damn shame. they are here to stay whatever happens as too many ppl scream for them even in old games. (me?) and on that note i'm off to play waw as it has easy ones i can get. (am loving the game too, only got it the weekend). peace.
