You know when you buy pre owned games for Gamestop they have those annoying stickers on them and if you peel them off there's all this goo and paper still left on the case. How do you guys get it off?

very slowly and very carefully. the worst part is if you just rip them off it stretches out the plastic game covering.

Goo Gone works extremely well. You can find at stores like Wal-Mart, Target, etc.

I am a master at pulling them off. I go slow and they always come out perfectly.

yeah if you take your time when taking it off you can get them to come off cleanly with anything being left behind.

Vodka or Rubbing acohol gets the glue off nicely... I said vodka as its probably the best alternative to rubbing alcohol as its clear and decent stuff is pretty pure and won't stain.

Why waste Vodka on a Sticker. That stuff gets expensive

Just get a Wet cloth put it up there and leave there for 15 mins.

Oh man, those stupid clear plastic stickers Gamestop likes to put over the opening side of the case after they cram the disc in there are horrible for peeling off - they almost never come in one piece and always leave sticky residue. Even if you try and peel them off minutes after they stick them on.

I use a blowdryer and put it on hot and just melt the glue and then peel it off easy and the sticky residue comes off too. A little trick i learned from my Uncle

Doesn't that also melt the plastic outer layer on the case?

It doesn't get that hot and your not supposed to leave it on there for too long just enough to get the glue off. Plastic has a much high melting temperature

I usually stick a plastic card (like an EB edge card - something without raised edges like a credit card) under the area I want to peel off. This way you're not mangling the plastic on the case too much.

With your finger nail slowly peel off the label the best you can starting at one edge of the label. Hopefully you can get rid of the paper part and all that's left is the glue.

Use scotch tape to lift off the glue from the case. Tape glue will attrach label glue.

If tape doesn't cut it, track down Goo Gone and use that. You can find it at Canadian Tire and it takes way glue without any bad effect and a small bottle will last you a long time.

Then when you're done, give yourself an OCD self-high five and regret that such things as labels on case get you hung up. At least that's what I do when I'm done taking off a label :P

I hate those stickers with a passion. I don't use a specific method besides being VERY careful as to not wreck the packaging. Even if I know it isn't going to be worth anything, the game box is something I always like to treasure in my collection and I try to keep it in the best condition possible. I heared peanut butter is a good way of doing it but sounds scary to me. :/

I just go slow and to my surprise it works perfect, but if you mess up you need to use a different method. Cursed stickers, why can't they just put it on one box for display and keep the ones they actually sell sticker free!?

Well usually at least part of the sticker comes clean off. What I do is take the removed sticker and use the sticky part of it to get rid of the residue on the case. I use kind of a blotting motion... works like a charm.

I hate stickers on my game boxes with a fiery passion. I use a mixture of methods depending on the sticker. Most of the time I can just go slow and get the whole thing off at once. Any sticky stuff left I use tape to blot it then rip it up fast to remove it. But sometimes I swear they use industial strength glue, thats when I use the goo gone stuff. Works everytime.
