So, I got the YLOD on my PS3... sucks, I know. But at this point, I just want to at least get my COD:MW2 out of the PS3, I can't seem to get it out because the PS3 doesn't stay on long enough for me to try to eject the disc.

Does anyone know a solution to this that will work?

there is no solution unfortunately. you'll get it back once you get your PS3 repaired (just so that it can YLOD again. it happened to me, so i recommend buying a brand new PS3 slim)

Well, the thing is, I bought a warranty for it at best buy and I was going to just exchange it anyway for a PS3 slim, I doubt they'll give me back the game after sending it to Sony.

Doesn't best buy just straight replace your syste mif you buy their warranty. If that's the case just tell them you bought the game at best buy too. They should give you a new one. They're super lenient with returns during the holiday season.

Thats a tough one. I had the same thing happen but bought a Slim due to no warranty and wound up taking the PS3 apart to get MW2 out of it. I know you can't do that due to the warranty. Do a search on google cause I think there are things you could try like holding eject when turning it on or something like that.

Mine has been sitting there for two months with Marvel Ultimate alliance 2 in it. I tried the holding button as I powered it on at the back, and I tried using platic tweezers since blurays are hard to scratch, last I was going to open up the console but I don't have a screw driver that fits. Thing is I probably wouldn't play that game again anyway, pretty boring.

Of course it will still work. I had my old 60gb ylod on me while a friend played CoD4. I just said screw it and took apart the PS3, my CoD4 still works on the Slim.

My 60gb died 2 weeks with BC2 still in it. Instead of taking it apart, as soon as I hit the power button to turn it on, I kept pressing the eject button and the game came out before it shut off again. Or you can try this

Doesnt the "fan test" thing eject the disc? I know that it is not the best thing to do to the console, but it might get your disc out... Just turn off the power switch in the back of your ps3. Hold your finger on the eject button and then turn the switch back on. you should hear the ps3 fan get really loud for about 15 seconds and then the light will be blinking red. Then just turn the switch off and on again. This "test" (supposedly bad for the console) might not work on all ps3 models, but it would be worth a try. I read another website where they got their disc from a YLOD ps3 doing this same thing.

Pressing the eject button while the PS3 is off should eject the disk AND start up the console at the same time.

Not with YLOD though... it will just get the error and cancel the ejecting procedure. If it worked this way, Im sure that the TC would have his disc by now.
