It's simple really, Gears of War, takes every TPS ever made and puts them to shame? How you may ask? It does one thing that has never been done before on a TPS, does this: "In Gears of War, a slab of concrete is your best friend. And if that slab of concrete isn't around, you can always make do with burned-out cars, piles of metal, huge columns, or even the ever-popular wall next to a doorway. Why are these inanimate objects so friendly?" Now you might be thinking to your self, hey... Metal Gear Solid did this for years.. this isn't something new. You would be WRONG, somehow Gears of War has done it better. When Ps3 games are scored lower?

[QUOTE="Sexy_FFVII"]How come in GoW2, the graphics got a 9 instead of a 10...? I think GS really need to stop reviewing games.Dreams-Visionsread the review. tells you clear as day.
The only real visual problem the game has is that you'll see a frequent amount of screen tearing as you run around and force the camera to move quickly. It's not horrible or anything, but it's there often enough to notice.
Ummmm, no... This is hardly a reason to make a big 1 point down from 10 to 9.

The graphical performance of a game weighs heavily into our consideration of its visuals, so even if it looks pretty in screenshots, there's no guarantee it'll earn a high graphics score.
Because GoW II is a much better game than Resistance, Virtua Fighter, Motorstorm and every other game available. How does GoW2 get an Awesome Review? When Ps3 games are scored lower?

So your telling me that for such muscley tough looking guys in gears of war its more exciting to hide behind rocks and stuff and use this through out the whole game which was a short story I might add and take that over god of war where u actually can go head up wit bosses, not only that but just so much fun fighting and using different killing mechanisms such as grabing them and tearing them to shreds, or grabbing them and swinging them on your weapon and can add to the attacks to kill them, there is just so much more action in god of war and it keeps u always thinking what will he do to this boss or this new monster when u finish them off, its just more exciting then GEOW. I know they aint in the same catagory of games but trust me I say, God Of War sh*ts on GEOW when it comes to gameplay and thats a fact. And no I am not against GEOW because I own the game and really enjoy it because of how beautiful the game looks and the online play, if it wasnt for the online play, the game would be in my closet collecting dust.

Well god of war is just an awesome game period but since god of war 2 takes the game to another level in gameplay and boss fights and with new weapons and stuff, it does deserve the score, but like I said in alot of my post, just because one game site rates ps3 games low, that doesnt mean the games suck, for example RFOM and Motorstorm and Virtua Fighter all were better then the ratings said it was and I know because still to this day I still play RFOM online ever since launch and cant wait for the new maps and stuff, and motorstorm just is a whole lot of fun and beautiful on my 42 inch LCD. I swear they underrated the graphics of it because when u play the game and look around, the environments look so beautiful and real. Next Gen graphics and u know what makes it even crazyer is that they aint even using UE3 for this game and one of the developers at GDC said none of these games come close to what the ps3 is capable of doing, and to me that is big plus and I look for future games when alot of devs start knowing how to use the power in this beast, look for not only amazing graphics but crazy physics and sound in the game. Till den game on.
