In the ps3 manual, it says the ps3 should be as far away from a TV as possible...but what about if your using a lcd computer monitor? My Lcd Monitor is in a cabinet, with the ps3 right above it, with about 2 inches of wood seperating the lcd and the ps3. Anyone know if this is ok, or should i seperate them and move them farther apart?

The description of your setup is more than adequate. There is no reason to place the unit obscenely far away from your LCD, unless someone is trying to sell you his 150' HDMI cable. The comment about sitting "as far away from the LCD as possible" is clearly stated in both Sony's hardware and most software production companies' literature. BAH...sit right up in it I say :)

I have my ps3 on my desk which is about 1 foot from my tv on one side, and about one foot from my computer monitor on the other side of it. I've had no problems.

Old Snake is a dirty liar. Yes, I said that. Being close to the TV won't damage your eyes in any way. They will only get tired faster.

It says it In the Playstation 3 Safety and Support manual, on Page 6, under Use and Handling...it says " Use in a well-lit area and keep as far away as possible from the television screen."

I didnt know about this, my PS3 is directly under my tv, but I think its going to be fine. They probably just mean that you dont want your PS3 to be so close like its touching or something, anything else Im guessing will be fine though.

I think there's been a miss understanding here, it means you should use the PS3 in a well lit area and you should stay as far away from the TV as possible.
