how good are the graphics in half life 2?

i played hl2 on the ps a few years ago and loved the story so much, but i never played episode 1 and 2 so im gonna go down and get it today. are the graphics good?

im going to get the game no matter what the graphics look like but id just like to know what the graphics are like compared to other shooters on the ps3
