I'm not super far into it so I can't answer how long it is, but I think that that is a good comparison, calling it a cross between Skyrim and Fable. I have enjoyed what I've played, and the combat seems really cool. I like how you have the seperate magic and weapon and how many attacks you have with them.
Im looking foward to downloading it soon. It has been on my radar for a while and now im glad I waited since its now free.
From what I gathered from other people that played it, it seems like a great game and to be considered a "hidden gem".
So far I'm having a lot of fun with it, but I love open-world games. The only disappointing thing is the graphics. I would've expected a little better, but it doesn't ruin the experience.
It started off pretty fun, but after about 15 or so hours I got really bored of it and pretty much stopped there, same crap over and over, annoying respawning enemies, bugs that never got a patch, camera view was something that really bothered me, you've got this pretty big world (In terms of height) but the ground takes up 70% of the screen.
I played this game about 6 months ago. I loved it ! played it all the way through once and started to play it again as a mage on my next run through. It does have some glitches and the DLC I bought never showed up , but the game kept me interested the whole way .
I'm in a process of downloading it today, heard mixed opinions on the game, fun gameplay, cartoonish visuals, so-so voice overs. The game seems to be all over the map. I will finally try it out for myself and go from there.
the gameplay can be very different, I plyed it with bow primary (with poison), chakram secondary and some ice spells, but you can play 2 handed sword with fire spells, one handed sword with undead familar and traps ...
the crafting is very interesting too
there's a particular mission where you have to find huge red gems with cultitst protecting them, you have to take the mission first before breaking the gems or you can't finish the mission
It shares a lot in common with Fable, especially the graphics and gameplay. It's not a bad game, but nothing special really. I like to describe it as an MMORPG that doesn't require a subscription and doesn't have the 'MMO' part. So an RPG, that kinda feels like a bigger games at times.
It feels like Fable from what i played. I just found the missions boring and gave up. The world is big though, much to explore.
2nd only to Souls games for me. Very good game to me. 9.5/10 for me. Long and enjoyable to play.
I didn't complete many of the missions. Many seemed menial and I stuck with completing the important ones.
Pretty fun. I thought it was to big tho. To many things that keep dragging you away from the story. Way to many sidequests.
I know I don't have to do them, but I like maxing out my character.

koa:r = flat out badass! one of my favorite games this gen and i have played hundreds of games this gen.
great sword + sorcerer + chakrams = best combat ever.
9.5/10
It reminds me of the first Fable and Skyrim. Hate every other Fable but I loved the first. I was pleasantly surprised. It's sweet.
Spent about 2 hours or so playing the game last night from ps plus.
Like everyone said its a mix of skyrim and fable. I like the art style and colors.
I don't see myself doing all the side stuff though, but I do feel motivated to complete the main quests.
Combat is solid.
It's amazing. I always say its a God of War/ Fable cross over. I bought it when it came out and couldn't quit playing it.
I really liked it, played it right through to the end and had a good time doing it. Started off with Might class and found it a bit boring so switched to Sorcery and had a far more enjoyable time, had a cool time with Finesse class too. Great looking game with lots of loot but the best part for me was the combat, 9/10.
Played and beat it on my 360. Love it. Quest for me were like on world of Warcraft to me. I didn't bother reading them and just did them. Downloaded it on my ps3 and thought the controls were a little loose but still a great game
It's like a cross between Fable and God of War. I don't see the Skyrim resemblance at all, because Skyrim has terrible combat and clunky controls.
I remember playing the demo when it was first released, but I never got the game. I've been thinking about it, though, considering I actually really want to play it. It should be pretty cheap by now as well, so I guess (at least for me) it would be a good time to buy it. Basically, I just really want more RPGs, heh.
The game is great! Huge,,.. if not a bit easy, but with some fun challenge.. Great smooth combat mechanics, very fluid, great leveling system. Common to legendary weapons. Lots of cool Armor sets, loot, weapons to be had.. You should expect a good 30 to 75 hours. The graphics are not like Skyrim but they are good and consistent.
I think with this game it's best to do the main + faction quests and skip the side quests + tasks. They all boil down to "go here and kill this" or "get me this item". The less you do, the less repetitive the game feels.
