How good is Socom?

I just bought it today from Gamestop they had it 15 dollars marked down, it's pretty awesome. I never really played Socom before, but I like this game. If there was bugs they are fixed by now and the community is still holding strong from what I see.

It's not good..

Everyone is just sniping and if you die you gotta wait 'till the game ends to respawn.

I have yet to go into one room where I have to wait to respawn. Every game I have played had respawns on.

You do have an option to enter a game with respawns or without.

But my personal experience is; so-so. The one thing that really made me mad was the lack of a tutorial. I guess Slant Six decided to do without it. ..

Think of the game as only $10 cause the mic alone cost $50. So $10 for that game is pretty worth it.

See, I didn't even know there was such option. And yes I wanted a friggin' tutorial, maybe that's people didn't liked it much ?

if you dont have killzone 2 then i would definitely recommend it over socom. in fact i think i would recommend anything over socom.

Even if it did have a tutorial, I still wouldn't like it that much. It's weak compared to the other Socom games. Very weak. . .

You do know it has different modes right, that do have respawns? And not everyone is a sniper, judging by your comments you haven't played the game much. Socom is a tactical shooter not a arcadey run and gun like cod. And I love playing elimination, just because there aren't respawns, because when you die you shouldn't be able to come back to life (like in real life). And by not having the no respawn modes, it forces players to work as a team, and not run around carelessly.

Yes you can, amazon has them. I also saw a couple at my local target.

Well since the majority of the people say I should get it, I will pick it up tomorrow. Does anyone know if I can still get the one with a Mic, or is that Limited edition?PwnUrFace10

i just got the socom headset bundle today and i actualy think the game is preety good. 60 bucks for headset and the game is a pretty good deal
