How good is the Playstation Eye as a mic?

Ive got a pretty large room should I just getthe bluetooth mic?

i use the eye as a mic, but i'm not sure if the mic works great from a slight distance. I always have it like 2ft away from me and it works fine, but never tried it from a farther distance.

Its pretty good from up close, but from far away it will pick up other sounds around you.
