I've had a fantastic time with it. I play Resistance all of the time with 32 and 40 players and I don't experience lag, I play Warhawk with 32 players and no lag, and I never get lag on Motorstorm.

I can't comment on the quality of any other games because those are the only three that I've played online, but my experience has been amazing so far.

Online gameplay on the PS3 is excellent! I have had no problems playing Warhawk and Resistance: Fall of Man. I really like how PSN supports 32-40 people online for some games. I also love the fact that it is free.

The only thing that isn't too great about PSN is that the friends list feature isn't centralized. Meeting new friends and adding them to your buddy list is rather cumbersome. Joining friends in game is also more confusing than one would normally expect.

Either way, it works; and it works well. The fact that it is free is just icing on the cake.

The Online experience will be greatly enhanced when Home is launched in, I think, February. That will bring the PSN up several levels, and it could possibly surpass Xbox live in functionability.

nah.. it will take sometime to be in par with live.. LIVE has been around for years.. and thats years of experience..
now i'm not doubting sony's ability to deliever home.. buti don't think it surpass it asap.. maybe with time and alot of
community chat to help make it better.. then maybe we'll see

SONY HAS TO LISTEN TO THEIR FANS! atleast when it comes to community stuff :o

I would say gameplay wise it's great in my opinion, Warhawk and Resistance have many people playing quite frequently. As far as community goes, there is definately room for improvement. Friends lists are kind dull sometimes in the fqact that is kinda hard to recruit people in-game. Plus lack of communication really hurts in many games, Where having a good strategy to win over opponents would be good than just going solo. I hope as more games are released that involve more strategy online than just pulling a trigger will remedy this. It's only a small gripe for me, but I can't complain too much. Of course i believe Home and updates such as 2.0 can help this problem as well.

One thing I can say is that *most* of the players I encounter online seem to be mature, and that alone is worth quoting.

Once in warhawk when we had 3 or 4 planes, half a dozen tanks, numerous foot soldiers and a couple jeeps all on the center of bridge with both flags in there each team trying to return it to their base with grenades flying every where and basically a continuos stream of tanks shells, machine gun, and rocket fire it skipped a couple times, but thats just about the extent of my lag experience on a ranked server on any game.
