How have you guys enjoyed DMC 4 so far?

I want to get this game, I just don't got money quite yet. I've heard mixed feelings.

How does it compare to the other DMC's?

i just started to play it even though i've had it since it lauched . but it's pretty good so far even though the graphic's aren't all that good , but the story so far is excellent . nero is a great character but i would rathe play with danteovadose85

I love the game... I liked the story in 3 and 1 better but 4 is still good and the cutscenes are sick. I do expect DMC5 to come out and feel in some of the holes in 4.

This beats out Uncharted for my favorite next-gen game so far. It's my favorite in the series, and that's saying something if I like it more than 3. I'm not sure what it is, but the game is just beautiful and seamless, it feels so fluid. The combat is the funnest it's ever been, especially with Dante. Overall, I love it.FFF4N4T1C

The combat does seem cool with Nero, but I'm still trying to play up to Dante's missions. I keep replaying previous missions with Nero so I can try and get a better score, that's why it's taking me so long to get to Dante.

A lot of other games are far more visually pleasing and I'm playing on a 57" Samsung LCD through HDMI with RGB on Full and Super White. It's mediocre compared to pretty much everything else out there when it comes to graphics.

The Graphics are outstanding and the game is really good exept for the stupid shadow crap puzzle. That annoyed me 2 death.

Does the survival mode get unlocked after you beat the game? And are there multiple levels for survival? How does it work exactly?

Unlocked when you beat the game. It is called Bloody Palace. You have time as well. You beat a set of enemies then you step into the blue light and the same arena is reloaded with a new set of enemies. When you die or run out of time you get your ranking. You can see how many enemies you killed, the time it took you, and the last successfuly completed stage.
