How could they get rid of region coding on games already out? They would have to recall them all back, destroy them then remake them with out the block...

I wish Sony would release Silent Hill on the PSN, and i guess, somewhere along the line give us in-game buddylist thru the home button..

Keep wishing. Do you know how much space that would take up? Why don't you just go out and buy it?

...Give me my playstation already. I got a free Ps3 with the purchase of a Sony HD-TV but I have to send them the proof of purchase and wait 2-4 weeks to get the playstation. It sure dosn't help when Sony Australia have extremely poor customer service, but so does any large company over here. Why the hell can't I go and pick it up someplace myself?

Words can't describe how crap it is to have 3 ps3 games and no console to play them on yet

I don't think it would matter about the size, because it was on 3 CDs which is a good bit less than even a DVD, and only about three times the size as the other games they've released. I still have it for my PS, but I've heard people say it can cost $100-200.

It sure does :( I got Resistance, Motorstorm and Ridgeracer. Oldies, but ones I know I'll love. Might have to start selling off the ps2 gear to help pay for the other 10 or so games I need! :D

I wish Sony would start releasing some more PSone classics on the PSN, such as Resident Evil, MGS, Loaded, Earthworm Jim, FF, etc, and I wish they would give us cross game private chat. Other then that and in-game messaging, I'm a very, very happy PS3 owner. I love the system and it's features. It really feels like the whole entertainment package to me.

I completely agree about the PSone classics. The releases for those have been unbelievably slow. What's the hold-up anyway?

I could be wrong on this, but something tells me the reason Sony is being so slow on releasing PS1 games on PSN. Is because they'd rather you buy PS3 titles for the system, instead of playing older PS1, or PS2 titles. Of course it's seems to be a whole different ball game over in Japan where I guess the Japanese PS3 owners have alot more PS1 games do play on there PS3's, as compared to U.S. PS3 owners.

That's #1 on my list. Also hurry up with the dual shock, otherwise the PS3 is great for me, each day my 360 grabs more dust.

I don't think people are going to pass up PS3 games in favor of PS1 downloads. And all the old games available for download on the Wii and 360 services haven't stopped people from buying new games for those systems...

How I wish Sony would release games for PS3 and XBox at the same time. Some BS about Blue-Ray coding causes PS3 games to be released later then 360. (i.e. Ace Combat 6)

Yeah but that would be pretty lousy logic. I'm sure they have a reason (copyright issues, maybe?), but it can't be that.

I wouldn't be so quick to rule out copyright issues. Sometimes game studios are bought out by other studios. Which forces you to have to get permission from that new owner. If you want to use there product. On paper it might not seem like that would be a big issue, but if the new owner, is more stubborn with giving you permission to use there game, as compared to the old owner. That's when problems might come up. You see it was probably alot easier for Sony to get alot of support from game studios back in the PS1, and PS2 day's because they dominated the console market then. That's not the case so far with the PS3. Heck I want be surprised if some of the older PS1 game makers are trying to make deals with Nintendo to move there previously PS1 exclusive title over to the virtual console on the Wii since the Wii is doing so insanely well.

Yeah, I wasn't ruling out copyright issues - that seems fairly likely to be the issue (or part of it). I was ruling out the idea of Sony holding back PS1 games because they don't want to distract gamers from PS3 games.

I guess we just misunderstood each other, no biggie though. You seem like pretty level headed guy which is a great thing, because level headed people is something that alot of game forums severly lack. The amount of people who have bought into this whole BS console war nonsense, is beyond rediculous. I honestly think that if you got some of these harcore fanboys in one room, they'd probably start physically beating one another up. Why some people get so hot and bothered over something as trivial as agame console, something that's meant to have fun with is just stupid.

They must have some licensing problems. The thing with the Virtual Console is that Nintendo has so many first party games that it's not hard to get gamse on there because all they have to do is port the game.

However, with the PSone, most of the games weren't published by Sony. However, I'm surprised Final Fantasy VII isn't on the Store since Sony published it.

I agree with both of ya. They have an INCREDIBLE back catologue and refuse to leverage it. I would rebuy some classics and I know you all would too! Spyro, Crash, Tekken are some ones I'd rebuy.

I was in the same boat as you. I had the original PS version, a matter of fact it might still be in my storage. I did not feel like looking for it right now, so I went ahead and got the PC version and play it on my laptop. I played it today for 3 hours straight.:)

I wish they would remake some of the Ps1 games like Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy 7 and other awesome games!
