I think it is huge. The smoother the game the better. It is part of gameplay.

Some(well, ALOT) of people say that the human eye can't even see the difference between 60 or 30fps. BUT! for some reason the Gameplay just seems smoother. But hold it against me. i'm just telling you what i read around the net.. But for me. as long as the framerate doesn't go below 25 i'm ok with that. lol or well, if it's in a cutscene i could care less. lol

Look at DMC3 and DMC4. You can see how much better it looks in terms of animations.

I dont mind 30fps. As long as its steady. I hate it when games start to lose their fram rate. Like Assassins Creed does.

lol. that can happen with a scratched Disc btw. trust me on that on. but that was a long time after i finished MGS3 for like the 50th time. so i just skipped the cutscene. so for the first time through, if it's dropping below 23. it would be a pain in the ...part you sit on ... (no, not a chair :P) but i would trust in Kojima, and bet everything that i own, that it won't go below 23 FPS in a MGS Cutscene. and if it does. you guys can all come and take whatever you want from my house :P

Well sometimes I do care ab out framerate, maybe anyone here has played pes (pro evo soccer) 2008 and it really has some framerate issues. In cases like this, where the framerate drops below 15 ALOT and sometimes even becomes a powerpoint presentation I tend to pass on the game. However when I play games like Mass effect and or oblivion and it stutters sometimes I will forgive it since its such a huge game that already lets you do so many things at a time.

You would care if you saw a game with bad enough frame rates. Occasional jitters or jumps are managable but just flat out poor frame rates like 12 a second is not enough.

I read an article once about Testing the PS3's blu-ray len, they rubbed sand paper on a blu-ray disc and then put in the PS3. It ran without any pause or hitch, apparently the laser is so powerful it can read through scratches.

Doesn't bother me, even when I see it doesn't take away the experience of the game for me.

as long as the framerate is locked at some number 30fps or higher, then i really don't care. consistency is way more important than just having a high framerate.

You know that wouldn't happen though. Konami doesn't play with that series. They haven't released a bad one yet....even the PSP game is AAA.

Then you don't know what it is. If there was a very low frame-rate, you'd barely be able to play games; and if there wasn't a frame-rate at all, then the only games you'd be playing are the ones with a paddle-with-a-rubber-ball-attached to it.
