I havent played many fighting games and I am thinking about getting SSFIV. Is it really hard for beginners? Does it get frustrating? Is it ok if you play with a normal controller? Also how is Tekken 6?

If you play offline arcade on low difficulties, you will be able to get the hang of it. It just needs time and patience. You're gonna get destroyed online though, for quite some time.
avoid the beginners and pros thing u can be a star in any fighting game in just two days from playing it.
just make sure u pick the fighting game that makes u have fun while playing it.
for example everytime i play with my friend sf4 we just play 3 battles until we got bored while we cant get enough from Blazblue since every character is like another game everyone have his own style and the possibilities in it is endless or the awesome teambattles of MVC3.
just dont worry about the Difficulty and have fun
There's a reason Street Fighter is the world's number one fighting-game franchise. It's accessible to noobs, balanced and well polished. Like was said before though, I wouldn't expect much playing others online. Most have many, many years experience. The game's trial mode might help you catch up a little.
The learning curve is pretty hard in SSF4 and you will get destroyed online if your a beginner. I suggest the new MK9 when it comes out or MVC3, but then again you can get SSF4 off amazon for $20 w/ free shipping so................
Better yet buy it from gamestop and if you don't like it take it back within 7 days and get store credit towards another game.
