I am thinking about getting Tekken 6 and I want to know what you guys think about it. I heard there were some connection issues with lots of lag when playing online, is it true? How is the game overall?

It is fun. I just got it on the 360 for $10. The campaign is weak, but the traditional fighting is on point.

SSFIV is better for newcomers but does have a steeper learning curve if you want to get better. Tekken 6 is relatively easy to get into, but once you go online people will probably destroy newbies with juggles that take away the whole life bar.

Tekken 6 feels a lot of Tekken 5, maybe a little bit worse even.

It is good and a must for any tekken or fighting fan. However, I thought tekken 5 was better but tekken 6 is still a solid fighting game. Is it better than Super Street Fighter IV? It really depends on the player because some people prefer 3-d over 2-d and some people wont like the "cartoony" look of SSF4. Both are great games and can be bought real cheap. Get them both. I have them both!

And the multiplayer is great on both. I don't experience lag on either. Just expect to get your @#$ beat online from some crazy professionals. I do hold my own on Tekken online but I get destroyed on SSF4 but I only been playing SSF4 for like 2 weeks. Single player is terrible for both of them though but tekken is slightly better i guess.

yeah it's not noob friendly at all if you go online. The only people that still play it all have an insane amount of time put in and are pro. I would say that's like 90% of the online population for that game.

If you are noob on either of these games, stay away from online for a while until you understand the games. It is pretty discouraging get destroyed by some of these fighting game freaks online. Both games are newb friendly. I beat Super Street Fighter IV without dying once with chun li on medium on like 3rd day and I haven't played street fighter since like 2004 anniversary ps2 game. Not that difficult and fighters have similar like combo pressing moves. Super Street Fighter IV is more complex compared to the past street fighter games though and it is for the better. Get both games! And get Soul Calibur IV as well because that is like $10 now.

The majority of online fighters are very good fighters. However, what is the big difference between someone with online user name and you don't know at all and the computer AI? Ranking, different custom costumes and higher difficulty is online but should that be more important than single player "arcade" or "story" mode? It is different from playing vs someone you know and someone who is just online. Playing your friends online is great though. It seems like majority of fighting games have given up on single player games and story plot for online multiplayer. There are plenty of people who like to see great single player modes in fighting games and that is me! I prefer to play a great story mode in a fighting game with great difficult, unique bosses over playing some strangers on the internet. Fighting games make the mistake when they don't do anything for arcade or story games. Tekken 6 boss is pretty ridiculous in size and looks like clutter and SSFIV boss is Seth who is very easy and not unique at all but still better than Virtua Fighter's Dural character who creators didn't put any thinking at all.

Even with the single player not being that great, Super Street Fighter IV and Tekken 6 still has plenty of replay value and are definitely worth their low price tag.
