Just how long do you guys out there keep your PS3 switched on? I normally switch it on for like atleast 6 hours+....playing games,online,n listening to music,etc.
I'd say GTA IV and MGS4 kept me playing for around 8 hours at a time or so sometimes. It doesn't really matter as long as you give it good ventilation.
Mine is on probably about 12 - 14 hours a day. Maybe 2-4 hours of that is playing and the other is watching a dvd or something since T.V. sucks these days.
I play for about 6 hours at the most, but I have left it on all night several times when downloading a bunch of stuff. I've also went from playing games all day to watching movies all night. I'd say the longest I have ever left it on is about 18 hours or so.
seriously? you've NEVER cut your PS3 off? nope.. i'll be playing and get thirsty, pause the game, go to my kitchen and a friend walks into my place (i don't lock doors).. says "yo you hungry" i say "yeah i can eat".. we go out, meet people we know go to a bar or something.. i go home sleep, wake up go to work.. come home un-pause and basically repeat.. it's never i am playing, and say i am done.. i am always interrupted and completely forget the system is on..

basically since launch.. the only time my system turns off is the occasional rare freeze, which it quickly gets turned back on.. devil may cry 4 i had something like 100s of hours and it was on pause most of the time..

so since November 2006, your PS3 has been on basically ALL the time. Wow :shock: yeah pretty much, i have amazing luck with systems.. still have all my original consoles dating back to the atari.. not one has ever broken, never had to buy a new one or send in for repairs..

About 12 hours, off for 7 hours, on for 12, off for 7 etc I turn it on when I wake up, leave it on during the day, turn it off at the end. Day one PS3 purchase, 60gig, and no problems :)
