You may have really crappy slow internet. It took me 10 minutes to download the Rachet and Clank demo which was 1.5? GB. And that was on Thursday right when it released.
Considering it is Sunday, and not many people use the PSN... it's something wrong on your side. Time to upgrade your internet!
Oh sorry i just got my PS3 a few hours ago and I didnt know i had to tell you that much info. Its resistance fall of man and its 866 mb. Im on a different computer and i dont remember what the connection speed is and how would i know how many people are downloading it

I think my internets pretty good it takes about 3 seconds to load the gamespot home page
If your download has stalled you could have issues with your port forwarding on the PS3. Check the network settings and run a connection test. If you are running NAT type 3 you need to enabled UPnP on your router, or manually trigger or port forward the PSN ports. If you search this forum you will find all the info you need to do this. If your download is still going _but_ is just slow and you're running NAT 1 or 2 you either have slow internet or something else in your house is stealing all your bandwidth. PAUSE BITTORRENT WHEN DOWNLOADING DEMOS.
If you are on a connection through a router, shut off your other computers so the internet signal doesn't have to be split. Only the PS3 should be on the internet if you are trying to download something, it will go faster.
If the download seems to be frozen, pause it - start another download of video or something... wait till it is almost done. Then pause the video, and resume the demo download and it will continue. My download freezes sometimes on Thursdays, and this always works.

You really don't need to do that. If you are using bandwidth on your computer and you don't know why - you have a virus, malware, spambots... you should just be able to pause whatever apps you have running that are leeching all of your bandwidth.

Downloading games on PSN is real slow, it took me 45min to DL that Ratchet and Clank demo. On Live it takes 10 to 15min to DL demo's of over 1GB. So it's just Sony's terrible network system, not ur Internet conncections.
It only takes me a couple of minutes like 30 mins top depending on the size but if its a popular demo first day everyone is trying to DL it so its going to take a while you can't expect it to DL in like 10 mins.
