I was just wondering how long it takes everyone to Download a demo from the ps3 store. Demos are normally anywhere from 400mb to 1gb. For some reason it takes me around 4 or more hours to Download a demo which is very annoying. I think I have fairly good internet service so I want to see if its just me who has to wait forever.
It used to be 1mb+ per second and I would dl 700mb in 10 mins, but now it so ************* slow...it took me over 2 hours to dl folklore..why is my internet getting slower as everyone elses is getting faster?
I'm on ADSL2+ (24mbit/1mbit) and Folk Soul for example took about 15 - 20 minutes from the Japanese store. The PSN is damn fast compared to the only other thing I can compare it to, the XBL store.
it takes me an hour when other pc's in my house are on since I have a router and only medium speed internet but when none of my pc's are on it gets done in less than an hour
For me it seems to be getting quicker. A few months ago it was slooow...but today I downloaded a few videos and some demos and they downloaded surprisingly fast.
yeah. depends on your connection speed and the time of day too (traffic on the server). but most of mine (except for maybe GranTurismo and Tekken 5 took about 5 minutes or so. those other ones took almost 10 maybe. just under.
i have a high speed wired connection. wireless will make it go slower too. Â
