Longest is just like a day. The game was COD4. I usually take the game out, cause I'm sort of superstitious. I was in a rush to get somewhere so I just left the game in.
I have kept game disc in the PS3 for so long I almost forget how to get them out :| . Really the only time I take a disc out is when I change to another game and this could go on for weeks at a time without removing them and during this time I never turn the system off. And it has never given me a single problem.
I have had CoD inside it for a while now... A few days maybe. trying to complete all those shotgun challenges. :x
And while we're talking about superstition or whatever it's called. Will the PS3 eventually overheat when turned on for too long or something? I'm a little afraid leaving it on during the day folding.
I put started OBLIVION about a month and half ago, and haven't removed the disc since. I'm like 110 hours in, and haven't started the main quest. Crazy game.
MLB 08's been in since I bought it. It'll more than likely stay there throughout the summer. If I'm lucky i'll run through RTTS, and manage in that timeframe.

I haven't turned my system off in months and it has nnever had a problem. When it's folding the system doesn't really heat up as much as when the disc drive is being used for anything.

I was that way w/my ps2. I may have turned it off 4 or 5 times in the same amount of years. I get paranoid about the ps3 only because I spent so much on it I'd really be bummed if it stopped working so I always turn it off.
