Basically, I pretty much need a 5 metre cable for my set up. Does anybody know the length of the cable that comes with the PS3? Is it less than 5 metres? If so, I will have to go and buy a bigger one before Christmas day so I can get connected to the PSN as soon as I can.

I know it has wireless, but that is of no use to me because I don't use wireless. Well you'll need to buy one and it's hard finding 5 meters long one. Wireless works great for me.

When I bought my PS3 (80GB Motorstorm bundle) it did come with a ethernet cable and it was about 8 - 10 feet long (2 - 3 meters). So if you don't have a wireless router, you'll need to get another cable. Sounds like the newer packages don't come with one at all though.
i dont think the newer ps3's have them included. I got the motorstorm bundle last year and it had one, had to trade in my ps3 for a new one because it quit reading blu-rays, and the new ps3 i got didnt have an ethernet cable with it.
