how long will it take to beat metal gear solid 1, 2, and 3?

first time play through of all three...prolly between 15-25 hours depending on how well u take to the gameplay and style of game it is...steve4200

I dont know. After glancing at this again. And being reminded. I think the cuts are 15 to 25 alone in one game.

This are my times from the first time I played each game, so it means I didnt knew what to do or where to go so they are more realistic. Also, dont listen to anyone who says that MGS 2 or 3 can be done under 10 hours.

MGS PSX: 8 and change

MGS 2 No Dog Tags: 12 and change

MGS 2 With Dog Tags: 14

MGS 3 No Dog Tags: 22 hours (took a lot of detours lol, should take you 15-18 to finish)

MGS 3 With Dog Tags: Havent started that yet :P

MGS Twin Snakes: same as the first, though I havent gone yet for the Dog Tags.

They do referrence the big boss on MGS. That way you'll know who they are talking about. I had no Idea who the big boss was when I first played MGS when it came out. So if you are new to mgs, That is the order should play them.

They talk about zanzibar and outer haven.

I can only think of 2 reasons:

1- Because the gameplay in 3 is completely different than that in 1 and 2 and would make them harder.

2- He is a complete ........... (use whatever adjective you want)

MGS3 is the beginning of the Saga. It's a prequel. after that you have like 3 more major insidents before Shadow Moses(MGS) and you have MGS2(the tanker insiden).

MGS4 is the sequel to MGS2.

Well, its one of the people who likes to do speed runs. I for one hate doing that. And in MGS I always listen to everything, use the codec a lot to get all the secret conversations and now, Im beating them without killing enemies, unless you have no other way.

Its not only hard, its damn hard but Im resisting it though, since Im replaying them but trying to get all the tags (got 89% on my first try of the 2nd playthrough MGS2, now Im gonna finish that one and then move to MGS 3 and finally to the Twin Snakes)

2 hours you very first time your lying that would mean you skipped all the cutscenes and you knew exactly how to do each part which is not possible you first time and why would you skip the cutscenes your first time its just not logoical that it only took you 2 hours your first time

In MGS 3 its even more complicated not to kill people sadly, there are less hidding spots :(. But also, killing them is even better than before too :P.

depends on whether you want to fly through them or not. If not, 12hrs tops for all 3 titles, from moderate to hard difficulty. I remember spending a lot of time on mgs2, but no so much on 1 and 3.

how long did it take you guys to beat that old sniper in mgs3, it took me an embarassing amount of time on the hardest difficulty.

mgs: 10 hours

mgs2: 14 hours

mgs3: 22 hours

MGS should take around 8 hours so should MGS2 and then MGS3 would be like 14 or so.

yeah thats pretty accurate- but you may want to sit through the cut scenes. but hey you'll enjoy it, and if you get them all now you'll have plenty of time to beat them before MGS4 comes out.
