How many of you have never played Okami but intend to soon?

I never really wanted to touch this game because its graphics didn't really appeal to me. But after it was announced that the dog will be in MVC3, I realized that there's no way that I would ever want to master this character unless I play its original game and feel connected to him by discovering more about his background

I had never seen some characters before in MVC2 but some of them are pretty cool like the guy with the beam sword and Ryu.

Well, I've played the demo. The game's look really bothered my eyes after a while..:?

So a "soon" will never happen for me. Too bad though...

I love Okami. It's gotta be one of the most beautifully inspired adventure games of all time. Let me start by saying Okami is one of the most artistically compelling and refreshing game experiences I've ever had, even more so then the latest classic hit Shadow of the Colossus. From the outset, this game's art direction is what swayed my interest. Ever since I saw the E3 trailer I just couldn't stop thinking about the possibilities on how wonderful a game like this could turn out to be, and in the end, my expectations were heavily surpassed. Okami is probably one of the most immersive and beautiful games I have ever played.

An HD remake would be epic.

Did someone just say that they refused to play the game because of the artstyle/graphic?! O_O

The artstyle is beautiful and unique. It looks amazing.

I've played a chunk of it, but I've never finished it. I will win of these days though. I don't have access to my PS2 right now.

Okami is the only perfect game I have ever played. It was perfect from start to finish. It's the best game I've ever played, and I've been playing games since the MS-DOS days.

I HATED the demo in every way and expected to never touch it again. Then I bought it in an impulse years later and now it's one of my favourite games of all time, it's absolutely incredible. The demo is nothing like the real game. Only downside is the first few hours of the game are a turn off to some people because the game picks up slowly.

Boss spoilers:
I liked the game a lot but towards the end it got really annoying, like they kept recycling the bosses. I remember fighting the spider a bit too many times also didn't you fight the several headed dude like three times? Well, you fought him at least two times and weren't they both the same? I can't remember but I remember that the boss felt like a chore.
lol ya, they repeated bosses with no change to them at the end before going to the final boss. It was pretty odd that they did, but I suppose it was their form of "Boss Rush". Capcom had that in Viewtiful Joe too, and it was far more annoying there. Maybe it's just a Capcom thing. I didn't mind too much though because it was pretty quick.

I agree 100%,When this game came out I was to worried about my 360 to care, probably like alot of people. About a year ago I finally played it and it is now one of my favorite games of all time. It's still hard to beleive how long it was too, like nearly 60 hours!!

I was one of the few who still had a PS2 when everyone was moving onto the next gen.

Have to admit, kinda feel sorry for those who passed Okami up.

This topic is better suited for the Legacy Platforms board, as PlayStation 2 games aren't allowed to be discussed here.
