I loved the beta, I really did, but I've played the Mirror's Edge demo more than any other sampler ever.
I've only got enough for one game until Christmas, so I figure it should be the one that comes with a free backpack that I could draw on, and sell on eBay.
I'm not.
Why not?
I've played so many shooters over the past few years that I'll be happy if I never see another one. I was hoping the PS3 would be going in a LittleBigPlanet alternate route rather than copy the 360 in a me-too race to churn out generic sci-fi shooter after generic sci-fi shooter. I'm still not sure which of the three looks most derivative - Gears 2, Resistance 2, or Killzone 2 - but I have no interest in any of them.
I am on the fence about this one, gameplay just looks so generic... 60 player online is NOT a good thing, complete chaos might be fun for a while, then... i don`t know, like i said, on the fence. Hated the first one, so it would need some major improvements.
And it`s so many good online shooters for multiple console owners so by the time i am tired of gow2, left 4 dead, cod5... enters KZ2 wich i think will destroy R2 anyway.
and if not, why the hell wouldnt you?Dr_Dorien
Cause the first was crap and I'm getting sick of **** shooters. There are more this gen than the last which says quite alot.

What he said. I love Halo 3 however, very good game storywise
i had the beta and the online was pretty boring just 60 people running around and there is no skill needed, but the single player was pretty goodDiego_921
There was no single player in the beta.

hahah BUSTED!!!!!
Yeahp.
Everyone point and laugh at the troll.
Fanboys may claim it's one of the best FPS', but ya know what? It's still another FPS... Maybe once the smell of fresh plastic wears off, these guys will come to their senses.
It's a no for me.

A PS3 owner not getting R2 is like a 360 owner not getting Halo 3...
I've had R2 on my buy list since I first played R1!

Yeh, or.....like a Sega Mastersystem owner not getting Alex Kidd in Miracle World, which was actually built into the console, so theres no way you could NOT have it. Basically, there was no choice in the matter.
Hmmm...anyways, i'll be in the tub if anyone wants me.

mirrors edge is actually pretty sick man honestly lol (demo) id love to buy that but i already got R2 ..not that its a bad thing cuz R2 is awesome
I played the demo for the first Resistance and couldn't help laughing. However, this was after playing COD4 and MGS4. I could hardly stand to look at Resistance's graphics, and the gameplay felt sloppy and uninspired. Resistance 2 looks better, but from watching Gamespot's Resistance 2 marathon, it didn't seem like an exceptional game to me. I didn't feel the sense of urgency and danger that I felt with COD4 or MGS4. Sure, there's a giant robot twice the size of Godzilla, but one man with a rocket launcher can take it out with a few well-placed shots? Haha. Back to the drawing board for those aliens!
It's a good offering, though. I mean, for players who have shot and blown up everything in the other FPS's and just can't wait for more. I would still buy Dark Sector before I bought either of the Resistance games. Next in line for me are Big Little Planet and Valkyria Chronicles--maybe even Fallout 3. But no Resistance for me!
Count me in. watched GS marathon for R2. It's just another arcade shooter and as long as it's arcade shooter, count that out from my list. Same for those Halo and GOW 2.
At least bring more tactical shooter like Ubisoft's Brother in Arms Hell Highway and RPG game. I just don't mix well with shooter without tactics.
Played the beta and... meh. Just a regular shooter. Nothing special. I'm gonna have to pass on it and buy Mirror's Edge instead.
A PS3 owner not getting R2 is like a 360 owner not getting Halo 3...hrt_rulz01Oh well, how ironic. I have both 360 and PS3 and I'm not planning on getting either of those games. :D
I am still undecided. My problem is I am busy with work and my family, so I dont get a lot of time to play games(not a bad thing). Since I am limited on time to play games I only really need 1 shooter and I am leaning towards COD5. From people I have spoken with that played both betas have said COD5 is much better. I did try the first Resistance and was not too impressed. I think it did well mostly due to the fact it was the first shooter that was offered on PS3.
