I only attempt to get platinums when i have nothing else to do. But i wouldn't call myself a trophy obsessed freak. The last time i checked, i think i was at level 10 8%
I don't care about trophies, well I stopped caring, because I made new accounts so many times to change my name it isn't even funny. So right now I have 0 cause I just changed psn name
I enjoy them. They're like side quests. I rented Terminator Salvation to take a break from the games I have. Only took 3 hours to plat with very little effort or skill.
getting trophies for games I dont even like? I'm sorry, I have other things to do. Although I do get them by accidents and I really don't mind them. Only game I wished it had trophies was Assassin's Creed, since that's the only game that I loved collecting something in this gen (except for Zelda).
I almost selected option 2 but went for 3. I don't care but I don't mind but I do look at the list sometimes to see which ones are easy and then I'll leave the harder ones for later if I want to, which is good because I think that's what creates the replay value.
I've started to like trophies more and I think I have a fairly decent collection now.. I never thought I would get a platinum but now I have 2 (trophy card not updated) I won't go for a trophy if it's going to frustrate me and make me hate the game. For example screw the veteran trophies on Call of Duty. I was able to do EVERYTHING else but play the game on veteran.. played it on hardened, but veteran, no thanks.
It's nice to challenge myself and try different aspects if the game supports one, especially if I like the game however great games that don't have support for trophies (MGS4 for example), shouldn't be missed.
I believe all games in recent time frame and in future will have trophies anyway since it's a standard protocol.
I haven't missed them before but I don't mind them.

Most likely because it has 12 trophies, 11 of which are golds, and then the platinum. The game isn't even that bad though. Sure it has its bugs and is very easy but it isn't as bad as someone renting Hannah Montana for trophies
Right now the only PS3 games I have are Metal Gear Solid 4, LittleBigPlanet, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and the only one that has trophies is LittleBigPlanet, which I only 4 trophies in because I never play it. For XBOX Achievements though, I usually play through the game and get any story-related trophies and ones I think I do without being too frustrating, and then possibly go back and try and get some of the harder ones. They're fun, but not really super important. I've never completely finished a game with 100% Achievements and I probably never will. Once I start buying more PS3 games I'm sure I'll have the same philosophy, and probably never wind up with a Platinum.
if I buy a game, I will try as hard as I can to achieve platinum, and if I rent a game I will push for as many as I can, but I have only had my PS3 for a month and a half (Click my card for a complete list of all my trophies and games.)

Why don't you have the selection "The games that I buy are not decided on whether it has trophies or not, but if the game does I attempt to get a high percentage of those that have trophies cause it gives me replay value"
i like trophies it brings me even more reason to play a game more...like KZ2 the multiplayer keeps me playing but i go back to story at times to get some trophies....games i wish had trophies are MGS4 and GH WT
I really enjoy getting trophies. Some people may even go as far as to call me a trophy whore, but I certainly don't have a problem playing games without trophies. Any game I have I try to get platinum....minus EndWar, I hate that game.
I like them, but I'm not going to buy a game just for it's trophies. But, out of the games I do buy, I'll try to get %100 of it's trophies, but even then, I won't spend 100's of hours just to plat a game.
I like trophies that reward you for playing the game, or ones that make you think outside the square. I don't think I have the attention span to to ever get a platinum, as after I finish a game I generally buy another one.
Im doing alright at infamous and lbp though just from playing them.
I like trophies. It is a niceimplementation I think, and proves rewarding. I would never have attempted Resident Evil 5 on professional if there was nothing at the end of it.
im kinda into them, i find them quite enjoyable to achieve. im a level 10 atm.. though i dont have internet connected in my new place as yet so my trophy card hasnt been updated for a few days.. i always try and get as many as i can, though i do still play games that dont have trophies, never really bother going for plats unless i really like the game.
