How much memeory have u guys filed up and how many games are saved? i am debating on whether to get a 40 Gig or a 80 Gig and i dont think i will need all the extra space on the 80 gig. i have a 360 so not all my multi platform games will be on ps3. and i dont care much for BC so theres no need to spend the extra $100 on that.

between games,pictures,music, and vids, i have used 38 gigs. the good news is that i upgraded my HD from 60 to 80 a long time ago and i have also added a 300gig external hd via usb

i have a 60gb (apparantly people say it's the best one) and an 80gig. i upgraded the 80gig one with a 250gig HDD. but so far i'm still not using over 30gigs on any of them. lol pictures don't take up that much space really. neither do the movies i film

I barely use my hard drive space. Most of it is taken up by demos and save files.

I have an 80gig PS3 but it has like 64G free. A lot of the memory is sacraficed to system software and game/ system updates.

If you do not care about BC then a 40g will last the life of the console.

it all boils down to how you use the system, personaly i save alot of hd vids so that i can play them through my tv so it eats up space quick. thats why i got the external. if its gonna be strictly gaming then you should be fine

ya im using it for gaming only and i will buy most multi platforms for my 360. i like the 360 controllers better for shooters and stuff.

I've got around 40 Gameplay/Game Trailers (lots of them MGS4) in HD. Then around 32 movies. Probably a gig or two of music. Then lots of PSN games and demos.

I've used up almost all of my 60 GB HD. I probably have around 2 GB open now.

I'm planning to delete the movies and put in several seasons of family guy on it now though.

ummm... I've used 8/14 GB on my 360, and I've used 1/40 GB on my PS3, but I just bought it, I don't imagine I'll fill up much on my PS3 besides games, I use the media conector for my 360 for videos, my PS3 is just my blu-ray player...

I'd say get a 40gb it will last you awhile i mean i've had mine for months and i still have 27gb left. Also if for some reason you need more room you can always swap out the ps3 hard drive with one from best buy.

I have 17 gb left on my 40 gb HDD, but most of the files are very large Divx file movies. The game saves aren't big at all, and wouldn't almost certainly never cause you to run out of space on the HDD if you got a 40gb

I just got my PS3 and 10gig of the 55gig (60GB) is filled.

I don't want to put an external HDD next to my PS3, so I ordered a 250gig for the PS3. I am planning to fill the 250gig with lots of demo's, Japanese Anime, divx movies, 1080p movietrailers, gametrailers, games saves/installs, updates.

Some installs for games like DMC4 (5GB), Ridge Racer 7 (5GB) and Genji 2 (2GB) are quite large. I don't know if it's optional. But this easily eats up a lot of space, if you've got a lot of games with large installs.

I don't know about that bc ps2/ps1 game files are tiny. I have 35 gb of 60 free and it's been less than a year. Game installs/ updates are massive not mentioning demos. I have to delete all my demos every now and then to keep it clean. I forsee needing to up my hdd or get an external

i have used up around 20gb in games and demos.

I dont add videos to it because i hooked up my ps3 to my pc wireless....so no i can view all my movies, tv eps, anime, music and pictures from my ps3.

and MY hard drive is there just for game data and stuff from PS store
