I'm on act 4 - just beat cry wolf - I've only played mgs2 once a long time ago. I love this game - was skepticle at first, but now it's my new favorite game and I already want to play it again. I love the graphics, how you are free to do whatever, the bosses, and I look forward to the clip scenes. I also like the length of the game - I have about 15 hours in including clip scenes and I'm only about 75% done I think. Anyways - not to be confused with a recommendation thread, how many times have you played it, what about online, how long did it take you to beat it? Can we expect another - expansion or new game entirely?
I have 3 playthroughs, and another one which is a BBE run but I stopped a long time ago right when I got to act 3, don't know how to do it.
What is interesting though is that one of the devs who actually worked on the game, the one in the recent integral podcasts, played through the game over 30 times(as quoted from him).
Haven't finished it. Cut scenes too boring and convoluted. Granted the gameplay is fun, it's not worth going through the rest of the game to get to it.
Don't flame me, I never played any of the other MGS games. The story is foreign to me. I get the main plot line, but it's boring. If I knew the characters better I would maybe think otherwise.
Old Snake annoys the crap out of me. His voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard.
I probably played the single player like 3 or 4 times just to show the people that was watching me play what happened. As for MGO, if I added up the days I played it, it would add up to like a month.

So far i have only played the game all the way through once... however this is because i have a SD TV and will be getting a HD soon so.... i am holding off on replaying it until then...i cant wait. I currently have 50+ hours on MGO and pretty much love it, it has its flaws but Konami is fixing them slowly but surely.
Played it all the way through once. Loved it. Then showed off the first level to a friend who just recently bought a PS3, found myself not wanting to stop playing, even though I played it already :-) No current intentions on playing it again, since I have other games to finish, but as with all strong single player games, I'm keeping it around like a good book you may want to read again. Oh yeah, tried to set up an account for MGO but the stupid thing didn't work so I gave up on it. Heart breaking actually, since I thought it would be awesome fun.

There's this newfangled feature they have that allows you to skip cutscenes. Anyways, I played it twice but intend to replay it soon.

Me to beat it 2 days after launch and havent played it since Its an epic game and i loved it but i didint feel like replaying but after the long break i think i will start a second playthrough some time after i beat Bioshock on survival :) But no one get me wrong its an awesome game and deserved its score of 10
I beat it and loved it, and try to get back into it but I have about 6 or 7 games uncompleted so I'm gonna complete them first and then Killzone will take over my life :) But you get all your weapons on the second playthrough which makes it more fun. MGo would be good if you didn't have like 5 usernames and passwords and have to pay for Ever. Little. Thing.

just the 1 playthrough i dont see the point of going back and playing the game after completion unless there our trophies involved. or doing it on the hardest level. for me the reason i dont play games again after completion is because you know where everyone is and its just not as fun.
but i loved mgo probs got about 160hours or 170hours of gameplay alltogether between my 2 characters got foxohund rank in 15hours worth of gameplay. best accomplishment ive done
24 times I have all the emblems. It is my favorite game ever. But I don't think I will replay anymore since I have a lot more new games I did not finish.

Act 3 is a pain in the ass for BBE. The motorcyle part is hard rember to use the solar gun/
I Completed it without the solar gun, although it was a reaaaaal pain...wish i knew about the solar gun sooner:P but oh well, i spammed on the stun/flash grenade like crazy but thanks and thats cool you have all the emblems...one day i too will have them all.:) and maybe also still play it because i can't help but see myself missing snake and the game itself.. i don't know i just grew with the series and wish it never ended:P .... :cry:
ive beaten the story 8 times and im mid way through my 9th now, and ive got about 10-15 hours on mgo but ive just gotten into it like a month or so ago and i love online now

my favouriteof all time yet I've only beaten it once. I don't want to overdo it while it's still fresh in my mind. Sometime in the future when I start to forget it I'll replay the whole thing again.
I'm still replaying it... using different tactics and such. Some I just fool around and run n gun and get a ton of alerts. Others, I actually try. I'm not too big on emblems. I just have fun. But I do try to get emblems.

This is exactly how i'm (usually) thinking. Still, i ended up playing it 5 times so far :cry: There's such a strong emotional component to the story and the overall package, that you want to experience over and over. I'll probably end up playing it again in the not too distant future ;) I still have quite a lot of things to achieve in-game as well (advanced strategies, missing costumes, easter eggs).
