How often does this happen?

Hey all. I was playing the Wolverine uncaged edition game 15 mins ago, and the game just froze, along with the PS3. It didn't respond to the controller so I had to restart the whole machine. I know this is paranoia, but was that the right thing to do? Or should I have waited? How often does this happen, or is it a one off? Thanks.

My PS3 usually freezes once a month out of nowhere, so this is normal, unless the game is known to cause this, like some games did on the past and they had to release a patch top fix, but I don't think this game is the case. You did the right thing by shutting off, waiting wouldn't do anything.

I've never had a console that didn't freeze on me. Sometimes code just gets stuck in a loop. It happens, you're good to go.

ps3's freeze, it doesnt mean your console is going to die out, it just means (most likely) your playing a buggy game.

The important thing is to do a proper hard shutdown. Simply touch/hold the power button until it beeps once, then let go and wait about 10 seconds for it to shutdown.

every console I've played has frozen on me at least once.
