How playable is Demon's Souls without the use of online?

I mean, how much of the game is represented by the multiplayer? What am I going to miss if I don't use online? How does the multiplayer affect? How does it play?

never tried the online part of the game, whenever i play demon's souls i go offline. don't want other players invading my world.

It's as playable as it can be. Online simply adds some PvP (Player vs. Player) or let you help others / others help you. I played the game totally offline since the day I got it and haven't missed a thing (in fact I'm very close to the platinum). So yeah, online is not a vital part to the game, just adds more options to play with friends or against strangers. It lets character tendency go up and down faster and easier though but there are ways around that.

its no different really. it can have its advantages at times in terms of world tendancy because getting white tendancy can be a pain if there arent any bosses left its also helpful for getting through hard parts of the game u can just summon a buddy to come help you .if there is something you want like an item or a stone and ur friend has an extra 1 he can come online and drop the item then you can pick it up and u will now have it. the main advantage of the online is that people can leave messages around the place and sometimes they can be really helpful and get u treasure or help u beat a boss and of course other times they can be a waste of time from people just trying to get you killed.

as far as playing the game from start to finish there is no advantage or disadvantage of having online. ive beaten the game 8 times now and gotten the platinum and once i bear the game and went onto new game+ i had no need at all for the online part of the game

To me it's a more fun game when you don't have the ever looming threat of someone with the ability to wipe the floor with you just an item use away from being put into your world.

Online with this game basically sucks, expect a bunch of ******** to come into your game mid fight and gank you in the back when you you're in the worst possible position. It sucks, and personally I friggin hate the online portion of this game. Offline the game is just as good but better because you don't have to worry about reviving yourself when you need it...without getting ganked.
