How scary is resistance on a scale of 1-10

I guess you could find some parts where you're on your own scary.

as for scary, some stuff was kinda scary, maybe 5/10 for me

Maybe a 2, the only scary thing is one I was playing at 1 in themorning and all of sudden I accidentally unmuted the remote right as one of those dudes you gotta shake off jump on ya, I jumped a mile.

2 during normal play through

5 during suspense dark corridor moments

resistance was one of the first i picked up for my ps3 and i finished it in a couple of sessions in two days.

i thought the game was a nice game, but it was too bland and boring, that brittish woman annoyed me to the max.

one of the good things i noticed were the windows shattered appropriatly.

as for scariness, it was supposed to be a tiny bit scary but in reference to the way the flood in halo are.

id give it a 2 for scariness, i played fear and that scared me, but even id give that a 7, i havent played a game that ive been too frightened to play or seen one as high as 10 on my personal scale.

it has its moments

in the tunnels is pretty insane.

I'd say about a 3-4

more for suspense than fear.

It isn't scary but it isn't meant to be ... the scariest thing that happens is when one of those guys jumps on you unexpectedly and starts eating you ...
and hell thats more surprise that you forgot to kill it then fear ...

actually it is meant to be scary -- once u get 70 or so skill points you can unlock the making of Resistance in the cinematics option in Options. The designers and i think the CEO says that its meant to be scary... other then that, its not really scary in my opinion, i would give it a 2. The fact that theres health everywhere and like what was meantioned above "im a badass..." kinda dwindles the scaryness...

Sometimes when the mineals grab youand start eating you unexpectly is suprising, also when your in the tunnels and the angel is contacting you. i think its on level 13 it happens... thats a tad scary on the first play through...

It was not made to be a full-fledged scary game (If you want that, wait for something like Silent Hill 5 or something).

It was made to be a good game... which it is... a very good one.

WHAT? Bologna! I finished FEAR 2 in the morning where the shadows and the red walls were seriously messing with me! Where'd you drop playing?

Like 2/10. There are some suspenseful parts where a gray jack will suddenly jump out, run at you and smash your face in when you don't expect it.

It isn't so much a 'scary' game, but the chimera are intimidating in large numbers. I find I'm usually backpedaling, killing them as I run away.

Don't worry about it dude. R:FOM was universally praised by critics. GS is one of the lowest scores. Nothing to be insecure about. Everyone knows it's good, if they're being honest with themselves.

FEAR was great the first time through. I remember in some parts where you would see Alma's shadow and I would refuse to go in that area. Or climbing down ladders and seeing Paxton...scary though. Silent Hill 2 or Barbie's Horse Adventure...pick your poison.

Resistance though...a 0. Not scary at all.

It's not supposed to be that scary.

The first time through, things'll pop out at you when you least expect it, which can kind of creep you out. First time through, I'd give it a 6.

However, after that, you know what to expect and you know when enemies come and such. So, 2 for the second time through and after.

that damn flashlight, also TUROK gave me nightmares too, but i was only young when i played these 2 games.

Try immersing yourself in the sound, connect your TV to a really good pair of headphones or get like a 5.1 surround system and turn it all the way up. Resistance becomes at least a 6/10 when you do that. There a lot of sounds you hear that you normally don't hear in the game, it makes it much scarier.

The difference is like watching a scary movie with the sound muted or watching it with theater quality sound...

2....mabye when you first "meet" the angel and when the workers jump on you

the first time it happens its a 7 or 8 tho
