SONY's controller is an enduring CLASSIC, moreso than even any nintendo controller. whereas the controller's have changed for every generation for almost every system, SONY has gone with minor changes over dramatic overhauls. the reason being, why mess with perfection?
i honestly can't imagine playing a SONY game without the two joysticks in the middle, the d-pad and of course, the SQUARE, TRIANGLE, CIRCLE and X! PS1 had the rough concept of the controller, then introduced the dualshock and force-feedback. PS2 kept the same design and only made the insides even better. PS3 one-upped it and made it wireless, however, the six-axis was a mistake and i'm glad to see SONY brought back the force-feedback for the dualshock 3. for the dualshock 4 i um... i can't really imagine anything significant to add. what else could they add at this point?
keep it the same. its been the same since the days of the ps1 so why change it now. if they did change it all they would be doing is makeing something else for people to complain aboutevilmaster2424Exactly, they complain that they don't change it, they'll just complain about the new changes, I like it now and prefer it to pretty much any other controller except Xbox 360 as its probably right on par with it.
It's going to be the same or very similar. Sony hasn't change the design for hella years and I don't see them doing it with the PS4. They tried to change the controller for the PS3 before it came out, and got laughed at because the controller looked like a banana boomerang. So I think they're going to play it safe as usually with their next console's controllers.
If they ever use staggered analog sticks i'll be quitting the Playstation brand.. absolutely hate it, they only reason i put up with it on the 360 is for Mass Effect.. keep it the same although make the triggers more like these Other than that its perfect and i wouldn't change a thing..
copy the 360.... hell no.
Ps control design is one of the best..... even the ps1 dual shock are superior.
The only thing to improve are the texture... feel... mayby 3rd party can do it
New design, don't get me wrong I LOVE this design but I'd like to try something new.
sergemyster8
the boomerang controler are new... and doesnt work
Keep it the same, why fix something that ain't broken? GridironKingthere is validity to that statement. But on the flipside, what if it is also keeping us from truly seeing a superior interface? I wouldn't mind if they chose to experiment again, as long as there is a 'fall-back' plan at the ready.
stronger rumble control are not a good thing.. there's Grannies and Gramps playing PS... it would shatter their nerve and bones
only person voted the second option

LoL. I voted for the wrong thing. Graphics became 3D almost 2 decades ago. It's time for the controls to catch up.
Concave analog sticks, better triggers.....that's about all it needs.Floppy_Jimyeah concave sticks and also concave triggers like a gun trigger
