How to beat Max Payne 3 on hard mode.

has anyone managed to beat this game on hard mode with free aim yet? if so can u please give me some advice on how to get through it? here's the thing, i really, REALLY wanna play this game with infinite bullet time, that would be so damn fun the game would never get old! but as u know, in order to unlock this feature i gotta beat the breaks off this game on @sshole mode.. whats the best way to take on this mode??? as always any help would be appreciated.

1. Point your reticle at the heads of all enemies

2. Pull the trigger and shoot them

Repeat and progress as necessary

Beating the game gets you infinite painkillers, not infinite bullet time. You get infinite bullet time by getting a gold medal or above in every level on score attack.

yeah, im currently on my oldschool playthough with free aim on (i think it's easier) only advice i can give is mabye go in and out of cover to take 1 bad guy out at a time (like really fast) also never shootdodge when you still have some bullet time in your meter, because you dont need bullet time to shootdodge just use bullet time when your in cover or running and when your bullet time is almost empty shootdodge so you have an extra 3 seconds in slowmo (since you dont need bullet time to shoot dodge) also get 1 or 2 kills without bullettime/shoot dodge to get the meter upCHEVINATOR123

I just beat it on Hard mode in Free Aim. The thing I learned is that you definitely can't play it like a standard third-person shooter. You need to abuse Bullet Time and Shootdodge. Take cover long enough to get your bearings, then make a series of calculated risks. Try to make a habit of Shootdodging so that you land behind cover. Basically use as much Bullet Time and Shootdodge as possible and always go for headshots. Always make enemies in your peripheral vision a top priority since they probably have the clearest shots at you.

Well, something that worked for me is this: never use painkillers. Keep them so that when you get downed (which will happen a lot) you can go into last stand. In last stand you can kill the enemy that downed you in a single bullet regardless of where you hit them (apart from the heavily armoured guys, but there's only about three of them in the game).

For extra awesomeness, you can also shoot other guys before you kill the enemy that shot you.

It doesn't work all the time mind you. If Max has no ammo in his gun then you're stuffed, same with if enemies are hiding behind cover. But, for the most part, it got me through Hard mode.

Otherwise all the other advice is pretty solid. Avoid the temptation to shoot dodge, use cover all the time, take one enemy out at a time and abuse bullet time.
