How to change Nat type for a dummie ??

I have a NAT type of 3 and a ****** router, and I just want to be able to play MW2 with my friends online, can you break down the process of how to get NAT type 1 or 2 to me like im 5, because big words hurt my face, It would be much appreciated as I'm sitting on a red bar in every match :( boo hoo !!

1) get access to your router by using ur PC web browser 2) In the address bar, enter 192.168.1.1 password/username = admin 3) look for a tab called (DHCP Server) or something similar and tick the check box that says Universal Plug-n-Play (UPnP). and ENJOY!

I've done that, and also enabled DMZ, port fowarded all the PSN ports to my router and my internet connection, and I've set up a static IP adress :(
