just recently got my new ps3. first thing i did was to get a brand new hdmi cable to connect to my tv. i however don't own an audio system. I only have a logitech 5.1 pc speakers. which has that green, orange, black (front, back, subwoofer) male connector. Now i have hdmi cable that goes directly to the tv for video. now how do i connect my pc speakers to the ps3? is there something like a ditial audio to pc speaker adapter? thanks
I have Logitech Z-5500 5.1 speakers and I connect them to my PS3 with an optical audio cable. You don't get surround sound with just the standard audio cable.

Yep, you just need to change the audio settings to reflect the use of the A/V cables. According to what you've stated, I have my system setup the way you're looking to do it. It requires a trip to Radio Shack for some extra bits and pieces.
