How to convince my family especially my wife to buy PS3 , seriously ?

I have XBOX360, my wife loves it coz XBOX360 has alot of Arcade games and puzzle games.

I've never seen PS3 working, and how it works on the LIVE like XBOX360.

If i were to buy PS3, PS3 must meet her requirements, Aracdes Games, Arcade Games, and less CDs..

Can anybody explain, or show or give me links to this info, so that i can BUY the PS3 as soon as possible.

Just buy the PS3. Once she sees how cool it is, all will be forgiven. Besides, forgiveness is easier than permission. Otherwise, just beg her, like I did.

If you can find someone with a PS3, you can take her there and show her the Playstation Store online. They've got plenty of arcade games.

I think your best in is to go with the Blu-ray angle like someone said before me. Once it's in the door she'll see all of the other features and games that make it cool. It even had a web browser. Tell her that she can watch her favorite Youtube videos on it on your 55 inch (or whatever size you have) HDTV.

Dont worry just but it I am 15 and just bough my PS3 without my mother permission,sure she din't let me play on that day but the next day she allowed me and now she uses the PS3 capabilities to watch series I took down from YouTube trust me she will LOVE it. chee006

ps3 has plenty of arcade games. prob more than 360. like mega man street fighter crash commando everyday shooter. the list goes onrolltide101x

Actaully it has a lot less. and I mean like half as much, maybe a quarter of what's available on XBL. The biggest downside for the PS3 £3.99 games is you can't download a demo of most of them. You can't even dl a trailer for most of them. But there are some good ones like Flow, Last Guy and the Parachuting one. Just don't expect XBL or you will be serioulsy disapointed. Expecially if you are in to the online side of gaming. If you have a 360 then there's no real need for a PS3 for gaming you've got it covered with a better machine already IMO. Buy it for it's blu-ray that should be reason enough. Blu-rays rocks on a 1080P TV. + It's a blu-ray player that does games and has a web browser!

It has plenty to choose from. I haven't seen what the 360 has but they aren't that many puzzle games. It has Lumines Puzzle Fighter 2, Piyotama, Puzzle Quest. Pixel Junk Monsters is a tower defense game which has quite a bit of strategy involved. Pixeljunk Eden is a platforming game and trying to find all the pieces to make your garden grow can be challenging. The Last Guy is also rather puzzly trying to save all the people from the zombies while trying not to get killed yourself.

Less CD's? What does that mean? Like discs for the game cause REALLY only one or two games are like that and I HIGHLY doubt your wife plays them. Also if she already likes the 360 why are you so desperate to buy a PS3?

Blu-ray looks nice no doubt but the format is WAY to expensive right now. 30 plus dollars for a movie is outlandish and not worth it considering normally people watch their purchased movies a grand total of two times, and the fact they can be downloaded for a fraction of the cost now from PSN, LIVE or your own cable company with multiple viewing options throughout the course of a 24 hour period makes the format almost useless.

The thing that worked for me was the surfing the internet from your arm chair.

Knowing she could go on facebook and pay the bills and do what ever online from he armchair was ideal for her.

That and the promise of a new ipod.

buy it, buy LBP. Make a level that says "*Insert your name here* LOVES *insert your girl's name here*.

Have sackboy pass those words in a vehicle and then make a jump.

I did this for my girlfriend and she loved it. Since then, whenever she comes over, she loves to play LBP.

My wife loves blu-ray and the video store. She rented 2 movies just yesterday. She also loves the picture playback with music. Great for holidays for visiting family members to catch up on what we've been doing.

People here obviously never had to convince a woman to buy something. Don't come up with technical stuff. Just say that the color of the PS3 matches the furniture or something.nethernova

Pixeljunk Monsters is a great one to play with a girlfriend, Eden can also be a lot of fun..
it really depends on what kind of games she likes to play.

if you have kids, play up the bluray... Disney and Pixar movies are phenominal on bluray
i thought Wall-e looked good upscaled until i got the bluray.. wow..
