How to pick up ammo in the Last of Us

Stupid question, but there's no manual. Does anyone know what button to press to collect ammo?

There's a digital manual. You pick up ammo with Outsider-G

Triangle is the action button in this game. I don't know why, but I keep hitting circle and standing up to just get killed over and over.

Also, melee kills reward you with ammo drpos.

Is that 100% drop rate?  I've played on normal, but I don't think I got drops from every enemy that I stealth killed, even on enemies with a gun.

It's not 100%, but I've noticed you get more ammo drops when you kill an enemy by grabbing or using melee weapons.
