Hey i need some help on how to play NHL 11. I know nothing about hockey and this is the first hockey game ive played since the NES. Can sum1 tell me what does what i gathered R2 passes and right analog takes shots that's it.

shockingly enough thats pretty much there is. other than r2 and the right stick. the only other buttons used are X for protecting the puck and L1 for dangles.

All it takes is mastering the two, aka holding the pass button for more power, give and goes. getting a cycle going ect.

I would recommend playing online as much as possible and throw yourself into the fire, its the best way to get good.

maybe choose a good team also, Vancouver, Detroit, San Jose.

Watch the tutorials, look at controls and learn on your own. Thats what I did with NHL 10.

I would start by changing the controls to classic controls and go from there.

Lift the Stick Body Check the player who has control of the puck Poke Check.

read the instruction manual and thats pretty much all you really need just left stick is move you forgot.

practice
