I'm a big RPG fan, and I like all the games for PSP. Currently I'm playing Xenogears that I bought from PSN and it's great. The only thing is that I miss quick saving, like how you can do with a PC emulator. Is there a way to make my PSP able to do this? Side note: I pay for my games. I'm not interested in downloading ISOs or changing my firmware. I just want to know if there is some kind of add-on to the official PSP OS that will enable save states and quick saves.

Doesn't need to be official. I just don't want to have to play bootleg games.

"I'm not interested in... changing my firmware." means official. Anyways, I don't think there's ANY way to do it with PSX games.

Pick up a PSP Go, thats the only model with the (rather handy) pause feature. even then, I don't think thats what your looking for.

I don't think there is an official save state feature on PSP for classic PS1 games.

At least we can pause and put the system to sleep anytime we want. That's why I only play PS1 classics on PSP. Save systems are horrible in old games.

Foreal. If a simple emulator like ZSNES can create 10 save states, you know an effing PSP can. Sony could easily create an update. I gotta say, I've owned an xbox only since the 1st model and this is my first Sony console.... Microsoft absolutely owns Sony in every way. PSX games are super tight, but downloading them sucks and Media Go? ......absolute garbage. This is why American companies are worlds better than Asian companies. 'cept Toyota. RepresentSenorPickle

I must say that this is a thing I like about several pc games, their quick save/load functions, wish we could do that kind of stuff on consoles too.

It's not about being lazy, it's about the amount of free time you have to play...
