I am looking to buy a ps3 but am questioning how well the ps3 works wirelessly. Can you play games online wirelessly without lag or is it necessary to connect it to a modem/router. The problem is that I cannot connect my ps3 to my router since my room on the second floor of my house and my pc downstairs. Anyone who has a ps3 and has tried to play or plays games online wirelessly can you tell me how good it works?? Is there any lagging?? Is it even possible to play games wirelessly??:?
i have been using a wireless connection on my PS3 since i got it (Dec.) and i have only had about 2-3 problems total and not even major issues just small issues that were in no way a burden
when you play agianst people they will be put into your Players Met section on the XMB under Network
if you liked a person you played with or just want to be their friend find them on that list and press triangle and it will have some options and Friend Invite is one of them
select that and send the message
if they accept they will be on your friends list if they dont then better luck next time
Been wireless DSL since day one of getting my PS3 and it's been smooth sailing thus far.
The only problems I've had is that sometimes usually around 1am my system hiccups and you either can't get online for a couple minutes or you're logged out of PSN and need to relog in. But that's my provider /shrug 99percent of the rest of time it's fantastic.
Blu-Tooth headset works well also, although I've yet to try a keyboard
