I never played the series, but I saw they had the first two in a bundle pack for $40 for both and was thinking about buying. Only problem is I heard those games are kinda short. I like games that last a pretty good while. Is it worth it or should I pass?

Apart from trophies there's really no need to play either of them for more than 10 hours. The first has no multi-player and the second one lost most of its community to 3. That being said, if you do enjoy them you're more than likely going to play them once or twice more. I played each of them 4 times, mostly for tophies but I did enjoy those playthroughs. As far as replayability goes they don't offer much, but I would suggest that you play them - maybe not buy them, but rent them.

I was looking at a few reviews and that's what I figured. Maybe I'll skip them for now and get something else. Thanks.

The first one is about 6-8 hours while the second I believe is at least 10 hours or so. They are great games though, especially Uncharted 2. You can play them again to collect the treasures or to beat them on higher difficulties, but if you're not into that sort of stuff you probably won't replay them. Still, I don't think you should miss out on the series due to the length. You can always rent or try to find them elsewhere for a lower price.

I have played both games multiple times, they are a lot of fun, so I would definitely recommend them.

All three games have great single player experience and are one of the best action-adventure games this generation. Appart for collecting trophies (If that's what you're into) each game offers around 10 hours of single player. Uncharted 2 and 3 still have online community as well.

Well the trophies for them arent that hard so you could spend some nice amount of time getting them trophies. The games arent short, they are standard length (8-10 hours). U2 online is dead, U3 online is very active and the DLC maps are very active too. The games are really good tho, you should pass them up.

The game is terrible and is maybe only 20 hours for both of them. Just rent them, don't waste your money.

They're good games but overrated, not much replayability unless you plan on making multiple playthroughs to collect the trophies. If you're into trophies I'd say go for it, if not then I'd pass.

Well I went for the platinums for the first two, so I ended up playing the first two 3 times. It got to the point that if you skip the cutscenes I could beat the games in about 4 hours on crushing. I liked the games more the second time through actually. I'm planning on playing the 3rd one sometime on crushing.

I've played the first one once but I plan on playing it on hard to unlock crushing. Played the second one 5 times total and the third one twice. Probably going to do a crushing playthrough of the trilogy before summer is over.

I've enjoyed the multiple playthroughs but aside from the treasures there isn't anything extra to do, but I'm that kind of guy who can play the same game the same way and still enjoy it. Uncharted 3 has pretty good online I think. I would say 2 as well but most people are on 3...

According to the game files it took me 7 hours for my playthrough of Uncharted 1. 8 hours on average for Uncharted 2 and 8 hours as well for 3.

I really just kept playing the games for the story. They were great games but, not perfect. I'd say if you want to own PS3 exclusive games then yeah. But if you just want to experience the story I'd say rent or borrow.

i cant really give you a number on play time but from my exp both are well worth getting, there def long enough.i mean there not like something like say fallout 3 were you can rack up 40+ hours but there not IMO as short as say many FPS games. As for replay, well that depends greatly on the person playing. id say the replay is pretty good just becuase the games are so good but there not a lot of ways to play them deffernt. watch some Youtube play through vids and you should be able to guage wether or not the game play is your thing. i my self liked them, not as much as a lot of other people but i dont regreat buying them. The second one is imho the better of the two over all. the story, voice acting, script and character depth is very good. they come off as real people much of the time. Nathean Drake and the two girls from the 2nd game in perticular come off as very human with some pretty smart and witty back and forth diolog.

If you like the Indiana Jones Movies, or adventure, or good cinematic presented stories at least 2 is a MUST HAVE. Getting one along with it doesn't hurt either, but 2 is the overall absolute masterpiece everyone who likes action adventures should have played this generation. It will still be talked about in about 10 years.

I platinumed 1 & 2 so I played through them more than once. Part 1 didn't impress me all that much at first, but I actually enjoyed it a lot more the second time through. Love the characters and like spending time with them. There's a lot of variety in the environments, so that keeps it interesting as well.

So yeah, very good replayability in my opinion.

They're decent length for a standard game of its type, but extremely linear so repeated playthroughs probably won't show you anything new. That said, they're fun enough to enjoy playing through again.

They're pretty good if you're into replaying chapters for collecting hidden treasures or just running mowing through them with after-game bonuses you unlock such as gravity mods, infinite ammo, a weapon select, black and white filters, and character skins, things which the third game lacks.

Uncharted 2 has multiplayer mode right as well, and there's a moderate amount playing right now, and since all the DLC was made free, it's worth giving a spin as well.

Hmmm well, I guess for such a major title Naughty Dog would be plain stupid to prefer certain regions. I'll check out tomorrow and let you know if or if not though.

Well you have to go back and find treasures, and there are multiple difficulites. Sometimes I replay levels just because they are fun to play through.

I've only played the second and the replayability really isn't very good. It's a cinematically focused game so it's kind of meant for a single play through. Attempting higher difficulties can be daunting given that whole chapters are devoted only to story progression and therefore do not change in difficulty yet you must play them anyways if you hope to earn the trophy.

There are collectables though (treasures to try and spot and collect) and they are kind of fun to go back and look for.

The IP is good in terms of quality, the replay value from the sp is bad. It gets boring if you play Uncharted 2 right after you've played the first Uncharted out.

The multiplayer from the second Uncharted is good, but most of the community went to Uncharted 3. Playing Uncharted 3 online is painfull the first time and gets frustrating by the horrible community (IMO), the multiplayer is in therms of quality better then Uncharted 2. You can also play co-op but play it then with friends.

I decided to pass on this and got something else. The amount of hours in the game just didn't warrant spending $40 for. Maybe I'll get it when it's in the bargain bin or something. Thanks for the answers.

moderate. if you like going through campaigns multiple times, then yes its pretty high because its a good series.

theres multiplayer, and co op so that brings some value to the table....

personally for me i have just been waiting to start a marathon with all uncharted games back to back

The singleplayer is pretty good. There are treasures to collect. The only problem was that the developers took out the cheats in Uncharted 3. I have easily spent over twenty hours in each game in the series. People saying the games has bad replay value are insane. They are not going to give you hundreds of hours, but the games are not short by any means.

Depends on your definition of replayability. If you base replayability on added incentives for playing the game again, then outside of trophies, there's not much there to entice you to go back once you finish. If just simply enjoying the game is enough to entice you to play it again then these games certainly deliver, especially Uncharted 2.

There are mods you can get in the game with ingame money life fast motion, slow motion, flip world, and many other things and many skins. You can combine these mods for a different and fun expierance. There isn't anything like this in the singleplayer for 3, but 3 has a really big community for multiplayer and the multiplayer is really fun. 2 had good muiltiplayer but I imagine most of it is lost to 3 now.

Quality beats quantity. The Uncharted games are amazing and well worth every penny for the single player story's regardless of how they can be beaten within 10 hours or so.

Out of the current gen, uncharted probably has the worst replayability. There are treasures to collect, but honestly the franchise relies too much on the story to pull you thru, not the gameplay. You'll realize this on your 2nd playthrough, and prolly quit within an hour b/c you already know the story. The gameplay is actually derivative, but very smooth and polished. Nate's animation are super slick and responsive - however, the platforming is nearly automated and the gun-play is unsatisfying (enemies are bullet-sponges so the guns seem super weak, and the melee is also automated). The gameplay alone is just not fun. You'll be trying to get thru with the gameplay just to see the story.

I have to disagree. The platforming is automated and easy, yes, but it is still fun especially since in some situations like in Uncharted 3 where your platforming in a building that's on fire. The enemies in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune are not bullet sponges and react to every shot. In the other Uncharted's, there is a very slight reaction when an enemy is hit. And the melee is easy, but c'mon, it looks super awesome :P

Honestly? They're as replayable as you want them to be; if you like them then play them again.
